idosos cuidam de si e repercute-se na qualidade de vida desta população.; Acknowledging the growing importance of communication in health, this research aims to understand
the verbal communication that the older adults establish with healthcare professionals and the
repercussions of this communication on their quality of life. It also aims to decode the body language in
the care provided by home care personnel.
Based on a qualitative methodology inspired by grounded theory, this study uses semi-structured
interviews and observation as data collection techniques, and content analysis as data analysis method.
A total of 20 interviews were conducted, 10 in the urban parish of Gualtar (Braga) and 10 in the rural
parish of Godinhaços (Vila Verde), and 20 older adults from home care services of two IPSSs in Braga
were monitored.
This incursion into health communication enabled us to understand the interaction of the older adults
with the health professional or the home care personnel and conclude that there are two groups of
older adults people: (1) those who usually question the doctor and the nurse, assigning to these
professionals and to themselves an active role in the communicative process which translates into an
effective communicative relationship, in which the doctor and the nurse hold authority over the patient;
(2) those who are not used to questioning the health professional, considering that it is up to this
professional to play an active role in the communicative process, informing and questioning, but also
listening and understanding the patient. The relationship between health literacy and the type of
relationship that the older adults establish with the health professional seems clear.
We concluded that the older adults are aware of health communication and that they assign to the
doctor and nurse the performative capacity that lies in the ability to make them believe in their
statements. This ability is also attributed to the home care personnel and is expressed, fundamentally,
through body language. These interactions influence how the older adults care for themselves and have
an impact on the quality of life of this population.

Autor: Leite, Janaina Frechiani Lara
as mulheres.
The role of advertising in the construction of negative stereotypes about women has been a
constant subject of investigation since the resurgence of the feminist movement in the 1960s, in
what is conventionally called the Second Wave. More recent and less fruitful, however, are the
studies about advertising women, the professional who works in the advertising market and, in a
way, helps to corroborate the way in which advertising represents women. In this sense, this thesis
proposes to give prominence and voice to advertising women in the creative area, considered an
eminently male stronghold due to the small female presence and the perseverance of a male
culture.
In order to understand how advertising women in the creative area evaluate their work, especially
in relation to the greater male presence, and to find out how they see female representation in
advertising, interviews were conducted with Brazilian and Portuguese professionals. In relation to
the bibliography, privileged the use of feminist women authors.
In conclusion, it is understood that advertising has evolved in its way of welcoming and representing
women, but that a male culture still predominates.

Autor: Chen, Yue
Resumo: Como o sociólogo francês Bourdieu afirmou, o capital económico determina o capital
cultural.
Usam
crescimento do movimento Hanfu e a crescente população Hanfu deu origem a muitas novas
indústrias e empregos em torno deste tema cultural.
At the
same time that China has become the second largest economy in the world, young Chinese
people have gradually begun to popularize the retro fashion of "Hanfu culture". They wear the
traditional costumes of ancient China, which after being redesigned and modernized, started to
be worn to go out on the streets, thus attracting the attention of many people, whether in a well preserved ancient building in China, a modern and stylish shopping malls, or even on the streets
of Japan, France, Germany, and Italy. Over the years, overseas Chinese have established Hanfu
or Han cultural-ethnic associations all over the world, mainly in big cities in Europe, the United
States, Australia, and Canada, but also on small islands like Curaçao, and this cultural movement
is still growing. Within China, the rapid growth of the Hanfu movement and the growing Hanfu
population have given rise to many new industries and jobs around this cultural theme. It is worth
noting that this group of people who love Hanfu, although they have experienced
misunderstanding, lack of support, and even ridicule, still firmly believe that Hanfu will become
a powerful cultural symbol in the future. After the rise of the Chinese economy, this group of
young people sought some urgency and confidence in the country's culture: young people use
fashion tools to consolidate their national identity. Some long-forgotten cultural memories are
being rediscovered, restored, and promoted by them.
The aims of this research are: i) to analyze the influencing factors behind this fashion culture
and what the groups participating in it want; ii) to investigate and compare the performance of
Hanfu cultural groups and other sub-cultural groups; iii) to observe and understand this important
fashion pop culture of today in Chinese society.

Além disso, buscamos identificar as dimensões
Cineclubinho Ó Lhó Lhó (no Brasil). Nosso
Concluímos a
produção fílmica junto das crianças e jovens.; This research, carried out as part of a PhD in Communication Sciences at the University of Minho,
sought to identify the cinema education itineraries followed by Portuguese and Brazilian film clubs.
Based on a theoretical approach that discussed the main transformations surrounding cinema and
its audiences, as well as children's and young people's cultures throughout the historical paradigms
of Modernity and Post-Modernity, we set out to identify the actions and contributions of
contemporary film clubs to children's and young people's cinema education. Our research
objectives were, in the first phase, to map Portuguese and Brazilian film clubs, leading to the
selection of four cases (two in Portugal and two in Brazil) with a view to a more in-depth analysis
of their film education practices, in a second phase. In addition, we sought to identify the
dimensions of film education adopted by the film clubs investigated, highlighting the particularities
and contexts of each case analysed. We also sought to observe the changes and/or permanence
of film club practices due to transformations in the concepts of cinema, film clubs and children
and youth audiences, as well as to perceive similarities and differences between Portugal and Brazil
in the implementation of film club practices aimed at children and young people. Thus, we
conducted an investigation based on a qualitative approach, based on a collective case study,
involving the observation of film education projects and actions developed by Associação AO
NORTE and Cineclube de Viseu (in Portugal) and by Cineclube da Mostra and Cineclubinho Ó Lhó
Lhó (in Brazil). Our corpus of analysis was produced through documentary analysis of the support
materials made available by the film clubs investigated through their websites, social networks or
offered personally to the researcher; semi-structured interviews conducted with directors,
mediators, children and young people involved in the film education projects observed;
observations of the film clubs investigated and in the research field diaries. The research enabled
us to identify that the diversity, preservation and dissemination of the cinematographic repertoire
involved in the film screenings; the partnerships established with different educational institutions;
the credibility and solidity of the projects in their communities; the knowledge of cinematographic
language explored in the different activities, and the new possibilities for children and young people
to participate and get involved in the film club movement are the main contributions that the film
clubs investigated offer to the consolidation of film education projects and proposals aimed at
children and young people. We also noticed that the perspectives of cinema, film clubs and
children's cultures of the mediators and film club leaders are decisive in the construction of the
actions of each film education project analyzed, allowing us to analyze how each institution acts in
the face of changes in the concepts of cinema, film clubs and children's cultures throughout the
paradigms of Modernity and Post-Modernity. We concluded the research by observing the diversity
of the educational proposals put in place by the four film clubs, considering their conceptions and
practices regarding the processes of exhibition, analysis and film production with children and
young people.

Autor: Rodrigues, Welberg Menezes
guerras e as fomes.
All civilizations were confronted with the reality of death, which is the main actor of this
investigation. If fear has always been the irreplaceable companion of death, men have resorted torituals
to tame it. This was the case with primitive and ancient civilizations (Egyptian, Greco-Roman, etc.). This
was also the case in medieval times, with men living with pandemics, wars and hunger. It is still the case,
both in the modern era (the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, productivism, the politicaleconomic
ideologies of the 20th century), which secularized the issue of hope spread by monotheistic religions
(Judaism, Christianity), and in the current, post-modernity, which accepts the tragic of fate. With
modernity, scientific rationality, belief in progress and materialism took the place of myth and faith,
causing the reality of death to be repressed. With postmodernity, which values presentism, the
Nietzschean affirmation of life and the acceptance of tragic destiny, individualism was diluted and the
vital force of mythology and ritualismMcharacteristic of primitive times was rediscovered.
It is in the light of these historical and social data that we tried to understand the conceptions
that our contemporaries had of death, what were their representations of death, how they experienced it
in their daily lives, what were their practices. For this, we carried out a series of interviews in palliative
care services, carried out with people at the end of life, their families and the health professionals who
cared for them. Thus, the patients' biographies, narrated in the first person, took a prominent position in
this work. Because, it is in them that the fears, the hopes of the patients at the end of life and their
interactions with their loved ones and with those who treat them are expressed. Therefore, a detailed
thematic analysis was carried out centered on the personal and human, socio-relational, religious and
spiritual dimensions, where each of these dimensions brought to light the thematic categories and their
aspects. This enabled us to discover important arguments to build an interpretation based on the voices
of the subjects involved in this study. Thus, we intend to understand the communication of death in a
hospital and extra-hospital context, with the development of new Technologies and the proliferation of
social networks.
