O agendamento de uma redacção de televisão

Abstract

Quais são os principais acontecimentos reservados ao destaque noticioso? Será que determinado predomínio prejudica a diversidade de temas no debate público? Qual o real papel que os jornalistas devem desempenhar na selecção noticiosa? Estas foram algumas das questões que orientaram a minha Tese de Mestrado em Informação e Jornalismo. Através da realização de um estágio curricular de três meses na SIC-Porto, foi-me possível ter acesso não só a uma redacção de notícias, mas de igual modo ao mercado de trabalho. Podendo assim equiparar os conhecimentos teóricos transmitidos pelas universidades com a realidade praticada pelos profissionais de comunicação. Este projecto de investigação visa perceber como a teoria de agenda-setting ocorre na redacção de um canal televisivo, analisando assim os temas predominantes na agenda mediática e compreendendo a natureza do processo de selecção noticiosa realizada pelos jornalistas. Mas antes de uma análise mais crítica do objecto de pesquisa em causa, foi primordial num enquadramento teórico reflectir sobre o meio jornalístico – as suas raízes, especificidades, reais constrangimentos, o seu futuro, a sua utilidade e autoridade sob o tecido social. No mesmo plano, detive ainda a oportunidade de reflectir sobre o dispositivo televisivo e as diversas opiniões que consegue abarcar no meio académico e intelectual. Considerei ainda pertinente analisar os desafios da informação televisiva ao nível empresarial e comunicacional, antevendo sempre a televisão enquanto um bem público. Na investigação empírica, ao proceder à triagem dos assuntos, constatámos um predomínio de temas da Sociedade. Há, todavia, uma grande atenção dada ao Desporto, nomeadamente ao futebol. Tal conclusão é contrária à criação de um espaço público televisivo diversificado e interessado em alargar a discussão a diferentes campos sociais.

What are the main events reserved for prominent news? Is that a predominantly affect the diversity of themes in public debate? What is the real role that journalists should play in selecting the news? These were some of the questions that guided my Master’s thesis in Information and Journalism. Through the realization of na internship at SIC-Porto, I was able to Access not only to a channel news, but equally to the labor market. May as well match the theoreticla knowledge transmitted by universities with the reality praticed by the media professionals. This research Project aims to understand how the theory of agenda-setting takes place in the drafting of a television channel, thus analyzing the predominant themes in the media agenda and understanding the nature of the selection process conducted by the news reporters. But before a more critical analysis of the research object in question was primordial in a theoretical Framework to reflect on the journalistic media – its roots, specificities, real constraints, its future, its usefulness and authority under the social fabric. On the same level, had the chance to reflect on the device’s Tv and the different opinions can encompass in the academic and intellectual. Still considered relevant to examine the challenges of television information and communications to the corporate level, foreseeing the television as a public good. In the empirical research, when proceedin with triage of the subjects, we observed a predominant themes of Society. However, there is a Great attention given to Sport, particularly to soccer. This conclusion is contrary to the creation of a diverse television audience and interested in extendin the discussion to different social fields.
