Arquitetura do vinho: a adega e a paisagem vitivinícola do Alto Douro Vinhateiro

Abstract

O trabalho de investigação e projeto proposto consistiu na realização de uma adega e enoteca de Vinho do Porto inserida no Alto Douro Vinhateiro, mais concretamente na Aldeia de Cheires, Alijó. Mediante o forte potencial turístico do lugar, foi sugerido um equipamento de produção vitivinícola que funcionasse de forma simbiótica com o turismo, procurando em simultâneo envolver o visitante no processo de vinificação. Temos como objetivo fazer um estudo da caracterização do território onde é sugerido a implantação do projeto e da história do Vinho do Porto. No âmbito da conceção do projeto da adega, foi necessário reconhecermos o processo de vinificação e analisarmos a arquitetura vernácula da Região Demarcada do Douro, mais especificamente as habitações e adegas tradicionais. Uma vez que foi sugerido o acréscimo de um programa turístico ao equipamento industrial vitivinícola, procurámos no presente trabalho de investigação e de projeto perceber os mecanismos e estratégias de desenvolvimento turístico que a região oferece.

The project that is proposed consists in making a winery of Port and wine shop inserted in Alto Douro Vinhateiro, specifically in the village of Cheires, Alijó. Trough the tourism potencial of the region, it was suggested a winery that works symbiotically with tourism, trying in simultaneously to involve the visitor in the winemaking process. We intent to make a study of the characterization of the territory where it was suggested the implementation of the project and the history of Port Wine. In order to design a winery, it was necessary to globe the entire winemaking process and analyze the traditional architecture of the Douro Region, more specifically housing and traditional wineries. Since it is suggested the addition of a tourist program into a industrial building, we were able to study the mechanisms and strategies for tourism development in the wine country.
