Sufficient conditions of optimality for cascade [i. é control] of hydro-electric power stations

Abstract

In this paper we consider a model for a cascade of hydro-electric power sta- tions where some of the stations have reversible turbines. The objective of our work is to optimize the pro t of power production satisfying restric- tions on the water level in the reservoirs. We obtain su cient conditions of optimality and illustrate them with a simple example.
