Estudo sobre plataformas de ensino online: contributo para o desenvolvimento de uma plataforma de vídeo learning

Abstract

Num mundo cada vez mais digital e global, novas formas de negócio são diariamente desenvolvidas para um público que aumenta exponencialmente de dia após dia. Se relacionarmos estas atividades de negócio com a aprendizagem pela internet, entramos num campo onde a busca pelo conhecimento contribui para uma melhor profissionalização e especialização das próprias competências dos indivíduos, condição indispensável num panorama cada vez mais competitivo e exigente. Por outro lado, o próprio ensino neste ambiente (e-learning) revoluciona os métodos de aprendizagem tradicionais e contribui para uma aprendizagem mais acessível e dinâmica. É a partir dos fundamentos descritos que esta Dissertação de Mestrado no âmbito da Pós-Graduação em Sistemas de Informação incide, ao pretender estudar as plataformas de aprendizagem online que utilizam o recurso do vídeo (video learning). Utilizando uma metodologia qualitativa centrada na técnica de análise de conteúdo e numa amostragem por saturação, foi possível desenvolver uma Matriz de Plataformas que agrupa 22 portais de aprendizagem online, tendo sido identificados os seus principais mecanismos e funcionalidades de acordo com os objetivos de estudo. Esta Matriz serviu de base estratégica para propor o desenvolvimento de uma plataforma que reúne os melhores mecanismos encontrados, proposta dirigida à empresa associada a esta dissertação: Global Nation. Neste sentido, esta nova plataforma de aprendizagem online que já se encontra a ser desenvolvida segundo o contributo desta dissertação, tem o objetivo de dinamizar o processo de aprendizagem virtual e instalar-se como uma potencial comunidade de partilha de conhecimento pela internet. Esta dissertação visa também fornecer um contributo científico importante no estudo de temáticas relacionadas com diversos conceitos como o de e-learning, video learning e streaming. Os processos de aprendizagem e os mecanismos tecnológicos que permitam potenciar as dinâmicas de aprendizagem, arrecadarão também uma ênfase notória nomeadamente nas diversas análises realizadas. A aprendizagem em vídeo, pelo seu caráter didático e facilitador para o ensino, será uma componente fundamental a explorar.

In a world increasingly digital and global, new ways of business are daily created for a target market that is increasing exponentially day after day. If we relate these business activities with Internet learning, soon we enter a field where the search for knowledge contributes for better professionalization and specialization of specific competencies of individuals, which is a necessary condition in a panorama which is getting more competitive and demanding. On the other hand, the study itself in this condition (e-learning) revolutionizes the methods of traditional learning and contributes for a more accessible and dynamic learning. It is from the grounds described that this Master's Dissertation under the Graduate Diploma in Information Systems focuses, with the aim to study the online learning platforms which use video learning. Using a qualitative methodology focused on the technique of content analysis and a sampling saturation, it was possible to develop a Platform Matrix which groups 22 online learning platforms. From all 22 it was identified their major mechanisms and functionalities in accordance to the studies objective. This Matrix served as a strategic base to offer the development of a platform which reunites the best mechanisms found, proposal addressed to the company associated with this thesis: Global Nation. In this sense, this new online learning platform which is already being developed with the contribution of this theses will have the objectives of making the process of virtual learning dynamic and to settle down itself as a potential community of sharing of knowledge over the internet. This dissertation also aims to provide a valuable scientific contribution in regards to the study of themes related to diverse concepts like e-learning, video learning and streaming. The processes of learning and the technological mechanisms which allows to enhance the dynamics of learning, also will collect a notorious emphasis in the various analysis. Video Learning, due to its didactic character and as an enhancer for learning, will be a fundamental component to explore.
