Os lugares de Cedovém e Pedrinhas: do reconhecimento do lugar à intervenção

Abstract

A investigação que se segue debruça-se nos Lugares de Cedovém e Pedrinhas que se desenvolvem nas dunas de Apúlia e vivem da ligação entre a terra e o “mar”, entre as suas atividades e a sua proteção. Esta escolha deve-se tanto pela afinidade que existe com o lugar como pela pertinência do seu estudo. Trata-se de uma área com uma sobreposição de vários instrumentos de gestão e planeamento, que em alguns pontos apresentam discrepâncias. O próprio lugar suscita interesse por se localizar numa área “naturalmente” frágil e exposta a riscos erosivos, ao mesmo tempo que responde a várias funções e usos intensificados ao longo da história. É assim um exemplo de memórias, de especificidades e oportunidades. Propõe-se construir um posicionamento que reconheça, ao mesmo tempo, as restrições impostas legalmente e a experiência in-situ. Pretende-se assim gerar conhecimento a partir de um reconhecimento composto pelas transformações da ocupação, da apropriação e erosivas e pela sua observação nos dias de hoje. Esta investigação coloca-se no desconforto que supõe trabalhar e questionar o futuro incerto destes lugares que, apresentando uma elevada fragilidade ecológica, têm sido alvo de grandes alterações e apropriações e continuam habitados. A partir deste conhecimento adquirido, desenvolve-se uma estratégia de intervenção que reflete tanto a vocação do lugar como as necessidades dos seus habitantes.

The Places of Cedovém and Pedrinhas: Recognising these place and intervening. The present investigation occurs in the locations of Cedovém and Pedrinhas that developed on the dunes of Apúlia, they survive on the connection between land and the “ocean”, between its activities and it’s protection. This choice comes from the proximity that exists with this place and the importance to study it. It’s an area where various administration and planning instruments overlap, in some points presenting discrepancies. The place itself raises interest due to its location in an area “naturally” fragile and exposed to the risk of erosion, on the other hand it’s responding to various functions and uses intensified through its course in history. It is thus an example of memories, specifications and opportunities. It is proposed to construct a position that recognizes at the same time, the legally imposed restrictions and on site experience. Thus intended to generate knowledge through the recognition composed of the transformations occurred by occupation, erosion appropriation and through observation today. This investigation puts itself in a discomforting position, which handles and questions the uncertain future, presenting a high state of ecological fragility; it has been a target of large changes of appropriation, yet they still continue to be inhabited. From this knowledge an intervention strategy is developed, reflecting the calling of the place and the necessities of the inhabitants.
