Chaves: história e património edificado: roteiro pedagógico pela cidade de Chaves: a cidade como recurso didático

Abstract

O presente texto enquadra-se em várias áreas do conhecimento como a História; História da Arte; património e educação. O que se pretende é construir e mostrar um conjunto de materiais pedagógicos que sirvam as escolas do 3º ciclo/secundário na disciplina de História e História da Arte. Apesar de não existir nenhum edifício “grandioso”, também se mostra que em localidades do interior existe a possibilidade de contar uma parte da História de Portugal através dos seus edifícios e manifestações artísticas. O roteiro foi pensado para corresponder em grande medida aos programas letivos e daí a seleção patrimonial e histórica. A partir de um edifício conta-se algo sobre a História da época ou do estilo artístico. O texto abrange edifícios religiosos, militares, civis e utilitários, bem como algumas considerações sobre a História, a arte e o património, para além de sugestões de atividades a realizar pelos e com os alunos para complemento e reforço da aprendizagem da sala de aula.

This paper covers a wide range of subjects, such as History, Art History, cultural heritage and education. The aim of this paper is to create and describe a set of educational materials related to History and Art History to be used with students in the third cycle of Portuguese education, as well as in secondary schools. Despite the absence of monumentally large buildings in the interior, it is hereby shown how the this region can also offer opportunities for teaching a part of Portuguese history through its historical buildings and artistic expressions. The tour was designed to be incorporated into the existing educational curriculum, which was also used for selecting the cultural and historical sites. A building can be used as a starting point for learning about a historical period or an artistic style. This article includes a variety of different buildings: religious, military, public, utilitarian. It also includes some observations concerning History, art and cultural heritage, as well as suggestions for activities to be used with and by the students to complement and reinforce what is learned in the classroom.
