Avaliação do funcionamento de um motor diesel com biodiesel

Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objetivo avaliar o funcionamento de um motor com biodiesel. Para tal, testou-se gasóleo e biodiesel de duas proveniências diferentes num motor instalado numa bancada de testes, comparando-se os resultados obtidos segundo vários parâmetros. Foram eles o binário, potência, quantidade de injeção, quantidade de energia fornecida, rendimento e emissões de gases de escape. Numa primeira instância, foi realizada uma análise à literatura, onde se estudou o funcionamento dos motores de combustão interna, mais precisamente o motor diesel, assim como os seus componentes, sistemas de injeção e parâmetros geométricos. Depois, abordaramse os combustíveis utilizados nos ensaios, para os quais se apresentou alguma legislação e se referiu as propriedades mais importantes. Posto isso, mencionaram-se os poluentes inerentes ao uso dos motores diesel, principalmente a formação de NOx e também se fez uma revisão dos trabalhos e projetos já elaborados sobre o uso de biodiesel em motores deste tipo. Posteriormente, no que toca à parte prática, foi apresentada a instalação experimental inerente à bancada de testes. Foram abordadas as modificações que foram efetuadas e foram descritos alguns dos componentes e sistemas mais importantes desta instalação. Depois de escrever o procedimento experimental foram apresentados e discutidos os resultados experimentais dos testes com os combustíveis.

This study aims to evaluate the performance of an engine with biodiesel. To this end, it was tested diesel and biodiesel of two different origins in an engine installed on a test bench by comparing the results obtained using various parameters. They were torque, power, amount of injection, the amount of energy supplied, performance and exhaust emissions. In the first instance, a review of the literature was performed, where was studied the operation of internal combustion engines, specifically diesel engine, as its components, injection systems and geometric parameters. Then, addressed to the fuels used in the tests, it was introduced some legislation and referred the most important properties. That said, it was mentioned the pollutants inherent in the use of diesel engines, especially the formation of NOx and also made a review of the work and projects already elaborated on the use of biodiesel in engines of this type. Later, as regards the practical part, it was presented the experimental setup inherent to the test bench. The changes that were made were approached and were described some of the components and most important systems of this facility have been addressed. After writing the experimental procedure were presented and discussed the experimental results of the tests with the fuels.
