A emigração portuguesa e chinesa em perspectiva comparada

Abstract

Sendo um dos frutos da civilização humana, a mobilização dos povos na história surgiu por diversos motivos, além de possuir características distintivas em cada época histórica. O conceito de “migração” surgiu claramente definido após a formação dos chamados “Estados Modernos”. Esta dissertação centra-se no fenómeno da emigração internacional, assumindo como ponto de partida a génese da chamada Modernidade, revisitando os principais processos do desenvolvimento migratório tanto de Portugal como da China, incluindo uma análise dos motivos, volume e tendências, nas diversas fases históricas, bem como as situações actuais dos dois países, para tentar compreender melhor as semelhanças e diferenças da emigração de Portugal e da China. No fim apresenta-se um apontamento sobre as suas tendências futuras que se deixam já entrever. O estudo para esta dissertação privilegiou os emigrantes legais, com referência à documentação dos estudos académicos sobre emigração, bem como a pesquisa das instituições civis e oficiais sobre emigração. O seu objectivo fundamental foi o de mostrar com detalhe as realidades da emigração de ambos os países, dando especial atenção às respetivas histórias.

The phenomenon of migration is present throughout human history. People move from one place to another for different motives since the dawn of mankind. That occurred closely connected to particular cultural traditions and changing through time. However, it was not until the concept of “modern State” came into place that this phenomenon becomes to be referred as "migration". This dissertation takes the emigration development process of Portugal and China as historical background, and tries to analyze reasons, statistical data, and paths of emigration across different historical periods, as well as the current state of the emigrants from the two countries, with comparison of similarities and differences of migrants from Portugal and China. At the same time, this work tries to show some analysis on the future trends of migration of the two countries.The research work for this dissertation is based on legal migrants, using some academic research papers on emigration as well as official statistics from civil research institutions and agencies, with the aim of presenting as precise as possible the historical features and the real situations of emigration of Portugal and China.

人类迁徙是伴随着人类文明而产生的现象，其原因多种多样，并具有历史时代的 鲜明特点。在国家的概念形成以后，人类迁徙现象被称之为 “移民”。 本论文以 国际移民现象为背景，以形成移民概念的近代历史时期为起点，回顾葡萄牙及中 国的向外移民的历史发展过程，列举、分析两国之间各个历史时期对外移民的原 因、数量、方向以及现阶段移民状况，尝试对葡萄牙及中国之间移民的共同性及 差异性进行对比，并就两国之间未来向外移民的趋势提出自己的分析结果。本论 文以合法移民为主要研究对象，引用学术界移民研究文献、民间权威研究机构及 官方机构的对外移民统计数据，力求较为准确地反应两国移民的历史面貌及现状。
