Reabilitação de um edifício no núcleo histórico de Braga

Abstract

A presente projeto e respetivo relatório incidem na reabilitação de um edifício situado no centro histórico de Braga, no cunhal da Rua da Sé com a Rua Frei Caetano Brandão, zona intramuralhas da antiga Bracara-Augusta. Para tal tornou-se necessário realizar um estudo do tecido urbano onde está inserido o edifício de forma a compreender a sua origem e história. De acordo com o caráter turístico desta zona e com o processo evolutivo de restauro do centro histórico, é proposto um programa de restaurante com café-concerto com o objetivo de criar uma ligação com a praça existente no interior do quarteirão no qual o edifício está inserido. Para a conceção do projeto de reabilitação desta casa brasileira foi necessário conhecer os sistemas construtivos utilizados na época da sua edificação. Neste relatório pretende-se investigar os problemas de um edifício degradado bem como propor as soluções programáticas, espaciais e construtivas que melhor se adaptem às atuais exigências de qualidade arquitetónica.

This project and respective report focus on the rehabilitation of a building in the historic center of Braga, in street corner of Cathedral Street and Frei Caetano Brandão , within walls area of ancient Bracara - Augusta . For this it was necessary to conduct a study of the urban fabric where it entered the building in order to understand its origin and history. According to the tourist character of the area and the evolutionary process of restoration of the historic center , a restaurant program is proposed with coffee concert in order to create a connection with the existing square inside the block in which the building is located. For the design of the rehabilitation project of this Brazilian house it was necessary to know the construction systems used at the time of its construction. In this report we intend to investigate the problems of a dilapidated building and propose programmatic, spatial and constructive solutions best suited to the current demands of architectural quality.
