Edifício do Castelo: encenação de uma história com quatro personagens

Abstract

Este trabalho resulta de uma narrativa criada sobre um edifício que se encontra abandonado na cidade onde habito. Trata-se do desenvolvimento de uma história, de um enredo, que tenta enquadrar todos os protagonistas relacionados com o seu papel inerte na vida atual da cidade. Pretende-se, então, conhecer o Edifício do Castelo e os seus problemas, a cidade de Braga e os seus vícios, os habitantes e a sua apatia, o Arquiteto e o seu pensamento. Ao longo do tempo, a observação do estado de decadência do edifício e a constatação de que o seu esquecimento por parte dos habitantes desta cidade foi aumentando, deram origem a uma investigação que tentou perceber a sua utilidade como elemento pertencente à sua estrutura urbana. Posto isto, e assumindo o abandono como um estado inerente à sua vida na cidade, a história ensaiada neste trabalho tem como base a assunção de um novo protagonismo do edifício, cativando os seus habitantes para a sua utilização, ficando ao encargo do arquiteto a idealização de propostas em relação ao seu novo uso. Quatro personagens que vão estar em concordância, em conflito e que se vão movimentar em palco com o objectivo de captar a atenção de quem as está a ver.

This work results from the creation of a narrative about a building that is abandoned in the city where I live. It is the development of a story, a plot, that tries to frame all the protagonists related to its inert role in the current life of the city. It is intended, then, to know Edifício do Castelo and its problems, the city of Braga and its vices, the habitants and their apathy, the Architect and his thought. Over time, the observation of the state of decay of the building and the realization that its forgetfulness by the habitants of this city was increasing, gave rise to an investigation that tried to perceive its usefulness as element belonging to its urban structure. Given this, and assuming abandonment as an inherent state of life in the city of Braga, the history of this work is based on the assumption of a new role of the building, captivating its habitants for its use, being the architect’s responsibility the idealization of proposals in relation to their new use. Four characters who will be in agreement, in conflict and who will move on stage with the aim of capturing the attention of those who are watching.
