Resumo(s): | Esta comunicação apresenta uma prática pouco explorada no
ensino superior, particularmente no ensino do Cálculo Diferencial e Integral,
dinâmicas do conhecimento.
This communication presents a little explored practice in superior education, particularly in the teaching of Differential and Integral Calculus, which aims to present students with a series of tasks of an exploratory and investigative nature supported by technology. The investigative interest in this subject has been presented in a very accentuated way in the present time due to the high failure rates in the matter, besides the need to move from the exclusively expository method to more dynamic and reflexive practices that allow the active participation of the students in the elaboration of knowledge. With the support of mathematical software, the students explored a sequence of wide range tasks with the purpose of applying some knowledge, enhancing others and introducing themes of the curricular grade. In this research, we look for the theoretical support of mathematical explorations and investigations by using technological resources in relevant problems. This combination is an important mechanism for the discovery-based learning. The introduction of the informatics in the classroom, besides its important motivational aspects, allows more dynamical exploration of the knowledge by using modern technologies. Following a qualitative methodology of descriptive interpretive character, the experimental structure was compounded by the application of tasks in groups and a careful observation of the evolution of the students, considering the learning aspects as well as scenarios of difficulties and overcoming, including the use of technologies. The results show the potential that the exploratory tasks, with support in the technologies, add to the teaching of Calculus. These potentialities contains a diversity of topics and allows the students: the possibility to approach, from the numeric, graphic and analytical point of view, a series of relevant incontext tasks; to develop typical skills of the mathematical investigative process; sharing knowledge and cooperating with the construction of the knowledge in small groups and work actively in the learning process. |
