Comparação entre os valores morais e éticos da religião cristã e da corrente filosófica confucionista

Abstract

A seguinte dissertação divide-se em três capítulos, tendo como objetivo identificar possíveis semelhanças entre os valores éticos e morais da religião cristã e da corrente filosófica confucionista. Assim no primeiro capítulo, é feita uma curta introdução aos conceitos de Religião e Filosofia. Em seguida, procede-se a um breve resumo da história de Jesus Cristo, o grande fundador da religião cristã. Assim como, uma contextualização histórica da sua vida pessoal, dos textos que comprovam a sua existência e uma pequena introdução à história da Igreja e à Filosofia da religião cristã. Por último, abordam-se alguns dos principais ensinamentos do Cristianismo. No segundo capítulo faz-se uma introdução à situação política e social do período de Confúcio, prosseguindo com um resumo sucinto da sua vida. Em seguida, procede-se então à explicação da estrutura dos livros mais relevantes para os confucionistas. Por fim, são retratadas algumas opiniões sobre o estatuto do confucionismo enquanto filosofia, e não uma religião. No último capítulo, pode-se observar uma comparação entre os principais valores éticos do Confucionismo e do Cristianismo.

The following dissertation is divided into three chapters, it seeks to identify possible similarities between the ethical and moral values of the Christian religion and the Confucian philosophical current. Therefore, in the first chapter, a brief introduction is made regarding the concepts of Religion and Philosophy. Afterwards, there is a summary of the history of Jesus Christ, the great founder of the Christian religion. As well as a historical contextualization of his personal life, the texts that prove his existence and a small introduction to the history of the Church and to the Philosophy of the Christian religion. At last, some of the main teachings of Christianity are addressed. The second chapter begins with an introduction to the political and social situation of the Confucius period, continuing with a succinct summary of his life. Then, the structure of the most relevant books for Confucianists is explained. Finally, some views are given on the status of Confucianism as a philosophy, not a religion. In the last chapter, the focuses on a comparison between the main ethical values of Confucianism and Christianity.
