Analysis of hotel industry development tendencies in the pepublic of Kazakhstan and international experience

Abstract

The monograph discusses the theoretical framework of formation and development of tourism and hospitability industries, the specific nature of hotel services in the structure of tourist services, and various particularities of marketing research in the field of hotel services. It analyzes also the development tendencies of the world hotel industry. The study considers the hotel sector development in Kazakhstan as a whole and in Akmola region particularly. In this regard, the authors conducted a survey on consumers’ satisfaction with the hotel services (case of Shuchinsk-Burabai resort zone). In order for conducting in-depth study, there was also an attempt to use correlation-regression analysis and economic-mathematical modeling of hotel services. According to the results of research, the study identifies main perspectives of development and improvement of the hotel industry in Kazakhstan. The results and materials of the monograph can be useful for undergraduate and graduate students and academic staff majoring “Tourism”, “Social and cultural services”, “Restaurant and hotel business” study programmes as well as for managers and specialists working in the field of tourism.
