A adequação do ensino das línguas estrangeiras à diversidade das inteligências dos alunos

Abstract

O presente relatório de Estágio foi elaborado no âmbito do Estágio Profissional do Mestrado em Ensino de Inglês e de Espanhol no 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário, da Universidade do Minho. Ao longo deste relatório é feita uma reflexão sobre um projeto de intervenção em duas turmas, uma de inglês (8.º ano) e outra de espanhol (7.ºano), numa escola do distrito de Braga, incidindo sobre a promoção de atividades que concorressem para o desenvolvimento das várias inteligências dos alunos, tendo em conta a individualidade de cada um e desenhando, desta forma, aulas mais inclusivas e motivadoras. O projecto tinha os seguintes objetivos: aferir competências e necessidades de aprendizagem dos alunos; identificar os tipos de inteligência que os caracterizam; promover atividades que respondam à diversidade das turmas, tendo em conta diferentes tipos de inteligência; avaliar o impacto das atividades desenvolvidas no envolvimento dos alunos e na sua consciência da aprendizagem. De forma a orientar a minha intervenção nas turmas e a documentar as minhas reflexões, foram recolhidas algumas informações, recorrendo à aplicação de questionários em diversos momentos da prática educativa. A partir dos dados recolhidos, foi possível constatar que as atividades desenhadas tendo em conta as inteligências múltiplas permitiram tornar os alunos mais conscientes do seu processo de ensino-aprendizagem e melhorar o seu envolvimento ao longo das aulas.

This practicum report was developed in the context of the Professional Practice of the MA in Teaching English and Spanish in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education, at the University of Minho. The report documents and reflects about an intervention in two classes, an English class (8th grade students) and a Spanish class (7th grade students). The pedagogical intervention was carried out in a school in the district of Braga, and the focus was on the influence of multiple intelligences on learning a foreign language. This project aimed at the promotion of activities that conribute to the development of the students’ multiple intelligences, taking into account each student’s individuality, and designing more inclusive and motivational lessons. During my pedagogical inervention I developed diversified activities aimed at: assessing students’ learning competences and needs; identifying the intelligences that characterized the students; promoting activities that answered to the diversity of the classes, considering different types of intelligences; assessing the impact of the activities on the students’ involvement and in their learning awareness. In order to guide my pedagogical intervention in both classes and also document my own reflections, I gathered some information through the implementation of questionnaires in diferent moments of practice. On the basis of the collected data, it was possible to realize that activities designed accordingly to the students’ multiple intelligences allowed them to become more aware of the teaching-learning process and also more involved in the lessons.
