Metodologias para a inventariação e avaliação do geopatrimónio

Abstract

A sistematização e avaliação do valor dos elementos da geodiversidade é fundamental para a identificação do geopatrimónio e implementação de medidas de geoconservação adequadas. Para o efeito, tem sido desenvolvido e proposto um conjunto de metodologias por parte da comunidade científica, que constituem a base para a avaliação desses elementos geopatrimoniais. Sem se almejar uma análise exaustiva de todas as propostas de metodologias apresentadas pelos diversos autores, faz-se neste trabalho uma breve síntese e resenha de algumas das metodologias utilizadas na avaliação dos diferentes tipos de geopatrimónio e aplicadas a diversos fins.

The systematization and evaluation of the value of the elements of geodiversity is fundamental for the identification of geoheritage and the implementation of adequate geoconservation measures. For this purpose, it has been developed and proposed a set of methodologies by the scientific community, which form the basis for the assessment of these geoheritage elements. Our objective with this work is not to proceed with an exhaustive analysis of all the methodological proposals presented by the various authors, but only to present a brief synthesis and review of some of the methodologies used in the evaluation of the different types of geoheritage and applied to different purposes.
