Ensino em tempos de pandemia: alguns desafios e olhares dos professores portugueses

Abstract

A pandemia causada pela Covid-19 exigiu mudanças repentinas em todos os níveis de ensino, incluindo a Educação Básica. Foi necessária uma reconfiguração educacional das práticas educativas que implicou o desenvolvimento de competências e saberes por parte dos docentes e de capacidades, valores e atitudes por parte dos alunos inerentes ao Perfil dos Alunos à Saída da Escolaridade Obrigatória. Desta forma, este estudo teve como propósito conhecer e compreender os obstáculos enfrentados pelos professores portugueses durante a sua prática educativa em contexto pandémico, nomeadamente as opções tomadas na gestão curricular e metodológica na sua disciplina e a re(adaptação) às ferramentas digitais e as dos seus alunos. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo que valoriza o significado da ação e o papel dos sujeitos na construção social da realidade. Os participantes são professores do ensino básico de escolas portuguesas, dois do ensino público e dois do ensino privado que vivenciaram o ensino em contexto pandémico. Os dados foram recolhidos através das suas narrativas reflexivas, construídas através de notas de campo de observação participante. Para a sua análise, recorreu-se às técnicas de análise de conteúdo com o objetivo de codificar e categorizar os dados recolhidos. Os resultados obtidos permitem concluir que, por um lado, o ensino em tempos de pandemia potencializou no aprender a ensinar do professor a reconversão metodológica, curricular e tecnológica, e por outro, no aprender a aprender do aluno fomentou o desenvolvimento de conhecimentos e de competências pessoais e sociais.

The pandemic caused by Covid-19 required sudden changes at all levels of education, including Basic Education. An educational reconfiguration of the educational practices was required, which implied the development of skills and knowledge by the teachers and of skills, values and attitudes by the students inherent to the Profile of Students Leaving Compulsory Education. Thus, this study aimed to know and understand the obstacles faced by Portuguese teachers during their educational practice in a pandemic context, namely the options taken in curricular and methodological management in their discipline and the re(adaptation) to digital tools and those of their students. This is a qualitative study that values the meaning of action and the role of subjects in the social construction of reality. The participants are primary school teachers from Portuguese schools, two from public education and two from private education who experienced teaching in a pandemic context. Data were collected through their reflective narratives, built through participant observation field notes. For their analysis, we used content analysis techniques with the purpose of coding and categorising the collected data. The results allow us to conclude that, on the one hand, teaching in times of pandemic promoted the methodological, curricular and technological reconversion in the teacher's learning to teach, and, on the other hand, in the student's learning to learn, it promoted the development of knowledge and personal and social skills
