O valor da informação cientifica: abordagem na perspectiva dos sistemas de informação

Abstract

Este trabalho tem por objetivo identificar o valor da Informação e seu uso pelos cientistas. Não há um viés bibliométrico, mas, sim, qualitativo, buscando-se uma representação da informação por parte dos cientistas e baseando-se nas representações obtidas de modelos tradicionais oriundos da área de Comportamento Informacional. No decorrer do trabalho percebeu-se que a percepção desse valor depende da proximidade dos grupos de pesquisadores, e de sua própria subjetividade. A questão da subjetividade não é tratada diretamente, mas está presente na análise indireta dos indicadores dos modelos analisados e os comportamentos que espelham. O valor da informação é um construto que depende de muitas variáveis. Estudando-se este valor em um contexto específico (campo de conhecimento e de atuação de pesquisa), além das redes de conhecimento que se formam (relações de pesquisa), será possível determinar a validade da informação naquele determinado contexto. Ao longo do trabalho esse processo foi acompanhado através de um diário mantido pela pesquisadora. O objetivo deste diário era obter subsídios para um novo modelo de informação que incorporasse novos indicadores que poderiam surgir no processo. No final, é proposto um novo modelo, que incorpora a gestão dos dados científicos desde o seu nascedouro ao processo. Busca-se criar uma nova fórmula que possibilite a criação de um modelo preditivo através da identificação do coeficiente de validade da informação no contexto estudado.

Title: The Value of Information: approach from the perspective of information systems. This work aims to identify the value of information and its use by scientists. There is no bibliometric bias, but qualitative, seeking a representation of information on the part of scientists and based on the representations obtained from traditional models from the area of intelligence behavior. In the course of the work it was realized that the perception of this value depends on the proximity of the groups of researchers, and of their own subjectivity. The question of subjectivity is not treated directly, but is present in the indirect analysis of the indicators of the analyzed models and the behaviors that mirror. The value of the information is a construct that depends on many variables. By studying this value in a specific context (field of knowledge and research acting), in addition to the knowledge networks that form (research relationships), it is possible to determine the validity of the information in that particular context. Throughout the work this process was accompanied by a diary kept by the researcher. The purpose of this was to obtain grants for a new information model that incorporated new indicators that could arise in the process. In the end it is proposed a new model that incorporates scientific data management since your inception. The aim is to create a new formula that allows the creation of a predictive model by identifying the validity coefficient of the information in the studied context.
