In this investigation, the child/body is dance itself, alive, full of movement and interaction with the environment, where, while dancing, the child establishes (among peers, their surroundings, with adults and themselves) a relationship with the world they live in. During this interaction, the child seizes understanding of the world through reasoning in their own universe, and therefore through them and in them, childhood cultures are expressed. In childhood culture, dance takes place with the most varied representations and as a rule, it is adults who organize children's daily activities and, in dance practices, such events are primarily constructed so the child (student) only copies or imitates the adult (teacher), not prioritizing moments when children themselves create their own dance and movements, especially when they are in self-governed activities. Nonetheless, how are dance activities, originated by the child/bodies, introduced in the development of their daily lives? How are adult proposals injected by children into their dancing experience? Thus, the objective of this research was to understand what meanings children attribute to dance practices inserted in their daily lives and how they are constituted, through content and form, in childhood cultures. The methodological format selected was the multiple case study of ethnographic orientation. For this purpose, the resource of logbook and visual methodologies was used, specifically photography and video. We developed the creation of the investigative material in four different contexts, considering dance at school, dance at dance school, dance in theater and dance in the street. The concern was to permanently establish a focus on children's actions and not on the intentional action of adults with children, where the research was based on ethical principles, in which not only the consent of children and their families was guaranteed, but also the permanent situation of assent. We carried out a content analysis that searched for and defined the categories of analysis according to the four contexts performed: dance and the body/child, learning, culture and cultural diversity, social interaction, participation, self-image, transgression and time. This research highlights that through dance the child recreates the circularity of his time and bodily develops his free actions and collaboration among peers, because, when moving in the form of a dance, he incorporates knowledge of himself in the relationships with other children, with adults and with their own image. They lead their actions and exercise their rights that enhance social interaction, as dance provides learning in the interaction with the body/child and their dancing movements where they embody their actions of being and being in the world and can express and organize their feelings and ideas. From the exigencies announced by the children, to direct our view towards what is in fact relevant for these bodies should be a priority on the agenda for those who have been focusing on dance studies with this population. It was through this dance that the children, in a single dancing body, voiced the free and expressive movements that accompany them, in this process of collaborative academic creation. I try to end with a space for recreation. Another time with the children, a new dance from the children.
