A dinamização da área da biblioteca: relato de uma experiência em creche e jardim de infância

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio apresenta o projeto de intervenção pedagógica desenvolvido no âmbito da unidade curricular Estágio, do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar, da Universidade do Minho. Em contexto de creche, o projeto surgiu a partir da observação de um grupo de crianças que revelou um grande interesse pelos livros, no entanto, não existia na sala uma área adequada e que desse resposta a esse interesse. Este projeto teve de sofrer alterações devido ao surgimento de uma pandemia, deixando de haver a possibilidade de reorganizar a biblioteca na sala. Deste modo, adaptou-se o projeto e realizou-se um conjunto de intervenções pedagógicas no sentido de favorecer o desenvolvimento da linguagem, da comunicação e da literacia, nomeadamente através do recurso a vídeos. Nestes vídeos foram exploradas várias obras, tendo em conta os interesses das crianças e a qualidade estético-literária dessas obras. Estas eram exploradas com o apoio dos livros e/ou com o recurso a diferentes estratégias e/ou materiais, tais como fantoches, sombras chinesas, flanelógrafo, entre outros. Em contexto de jardim de infância, a intervenção centrou-se na remodelação da área da biblioteca, tornando-a mais apelativa e acolhedora, de modo a melhorar a sua organização e provocar nas crianças um maior interesse pela área, pelos livros e outros textos. Num momento posterior, foram dinamizados momentos de leitura e exploração de histórias e lengalengas. Neste relatório está retratado não só o processo de intervenção pedagógica, mas também a dimensão investigativa do projeto que teve como objetivo identificar e analisar as estratégias que promovessem o interesse pela leitura e perceber como é que se pode enriquecer a área da biblioteca e, assim, despertar o interesse do grupo pela mesma. A sua concretização permitiu-me compreender que, para promover o gosto pela leitura, é necessário não só que as crianças tenham uma área da biblioteca confortável e estimulante, com acesso a diversos tipos de livros e suportes escritos, mas também que lhes sejam proporcionados momentos ricos de exploração de livros, lengalengas, trava-línguas, entre outros. Permitiu-me igualmente compreender que, para ampliar o interesse das crianças pela área, é fulcral que estas se envolvam ativamente na reorganização da mesma.

This internship report presents the pedagogical intervention project developed within the Internship curricular unit of the Master's Degree in Pre-School Education at the University of Minho. In nursey the project emerged from the observation of a group of children who showed great interest in books, however, there was no suitable area in the room to respond to this interest. This project had to undergo changes due to the emergence of a pandemic, and there was no longer the possibility of reorganizing the library in the room. Therefor the project had to be adjusted and a series of interventions were carried out in order to favor the development of the children’s language, communication and literacy, specifically through the use of videos. In these videos, several books and poems were explored considering the interests of the children and the aesthetic and literary quality of them. They were explored with the support of books and/or using different strategies and/or materials such as puppets, shadows, flannelgraph, among others. In kindergarten, the intervention focused on remodeling the library area, making it more appealing and welcoming, in order to improve its organization and provoke in the children a greater interest in the area and in books and other texts. Later, there was a series of interventions carried out of reading and exploration of books and other texts. This report portrays not only the entire pedagogical intervention process, but also the investigative dimension of the project that aimed to identify and analyze the strategies that promote interest in reading and understand how the library area can be enriched and, thus, reawaken the group's interest in it. Its implementation allowed me to understand that, in order to promote reading, it is necessary not only for children to have a comfortable and stimulating library area, with access to different types of books and written materials, but also for them to be provided with rich moments of exploration of books, poems, among others. It also allowed me to understand that, in order to increase children's interest in the area, it is essential that they become actively involved in its reorganization.
