Análise de gráficos no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de funções em alunos do 10º ano de uma turma de ciências socioeconómicas

Abstract

O estudo das funções toma dimensões de grande importância quando nos deparamos com este tema da matemática quase todos os dias do nosso quotidiano, sendo comum recorrer à análise de gráficos quando se pretende realizar um estudo acerca de um qualquer tema. Neste contexto, com a implementação do presente Projeto de Intervenção Pedagógica pretende-se atingir os três seguintes objetivos: estabelecer uma abordagem gráfica no processo de ensino de funções; avaliar a capacidade critica dos alunos em relação à representação gráfica das funções; avaliar a aprendizagem dos alunos em exercícios envolvendo funções. Através da realização de um teste diagnóstico ficou patente que muitos dos alunos apresentam problemas ao nível da interpretação de gráficos, sendo que a maior parte não os utiliza corretamente na resolução dos problemas propostos-. No entanto, e com uma abordagem mais gráfica dos problemas, foi possível observar uma melhoria na interpretação dos gráficos, facilitando, deste modo, a compreensão destes em situações do quotidiano.

The theme of the Supervised Pedagogical Intervention Project focuses on the "Analysis of graphs in the process of teaching and learning functions in students of the 10th year of a socioeconomic science class". The study of functions takes on dimensions of great importance when we come across this mathematical subject almost every day of our daily lives, and it is common to resort to the analysis of graphs when we want to carry out a study about any topic. In this context, the implementation of this Pedagogical Intervention Project aims to achieve the following three objectives: to establish a graphic approach in the process of teaching functions; evaluate the critical ability of students in relation to the graphical representation of the functions; to evaluate students' learning in exercises involving functions. Through the completion of a diagnostic test it became clear that many students have problems in the interpretation of graphs, and most of them do not use them correctly in solving the proposed problems. However, with a more graphic approach to the problems, it was possible to observe an improvement in the interpretation of graphs, thus facilitating their understanding in everyday situations.
