Participação cívica de crianças em espaços on-line: a ocupação das redes sociais por crianças digital influencers

Abstract

No cenário mundial, é possível identificar um aumento da participação e acesso pelo público infantil à Internet. As crianças estão cada vez mais cedo não só consumindo o que está disponível na rede, mas também produzindo conteúdos que envolvem seus cotidianos e que possuem relevância para elas e seus pares. Esse acesso não é igual para todas as crianças e demonstra as inequidades das diferentes infâncias e possibilidades de modos de vidas das crianças. Algumas dessas crianças que produzem conteúdo para Internet são acompanhadas por centenas de seguidores e tornam-se criadoras de conteúdo, sendo nomeadas pela indústria cultural como digital influencers, por sua capacidade de inspirar e intervir em como outras crianças se comportam ou no que consomem. Neste contexto, existe um nicho específico de crianças influenciadoras digitais que promovem causas sociais, produzindo conteúdos que buscam mobilizar outras crianças através da rede, abordando questões relacionadas aos seus direitos e utilizando suas plataformas e sua capacidade de inspirar para articular e subsidiar decisões políticas que consideram relevantes. Neste sentido, o propósito da investigação é compreender a participação cívica de crianças através das redes sociais para a promoção de direitos. Para fundamentar a investigação, serão utilizados como marcos teóricos os Estudos Sociais da Infância e da Cibercultura. Para o alcance dos objetivos, foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas, e em paralelo, uma análise a partir de uma etnografia digital dos perfis das crianças, verificando os tipos de postagem, o que produzem, como se comunicam e interagem na rede. Como resultado, foram realizados quatro artigos: o primeiro, que versa sobre a ação das crianças para combater a crise climática, o segundo e o terceiro, que buscou apresentar a produção de conteúdo das crianças na rede sobre como prevenir e ajudar a combater o COVID-19 e por último, um artigo sobre o protagonismo das crianças brasileiras que são influenciadoras digitais e ativistas enquanto sujeitos políticos. A partir do exposto, foi possível compreender a importância de realizar uma investigação que valorize a voz das crianças e promova a visibilidade de suas lutas, compreendendo as experiências das mesmas a partir dos seus próprios discursos, bem como reconhecendo a ação das crianças na contribuição da promoção e defesa de direitos, além de identificar e propor estratégias de proteção eficazes para um acesso ético, seguro e responsável em qualquer espaço digital.

On the world stage, it is possible to identify an increase in participation and access by children on the Internet. At an earlier age, children are not only consuming what is available on the web, but also producing content that involves their daily lives and is relevant to them and their peers. This access is not equal for all children and demonstrates the inequities of different childhoods and possibilities for children's ways of life. Some of these children who produce content for the Internet are followed by hundreds of followers and become content creators, being named by the culture industry as digital influencers, for their ability to inspire and intervene in how other children behave or what they consume. In this context, there is a specific niche of digital influencer children who promote social causes, producing content that seeks to mobilize other children through the social media, addressing issues related to their rights and using their platforms and their capacity to inspire to articulate and support policy decisions that they consider relevant. In this sense, the purpose of the investigation is to understand the civic participation of children through social media for the promotion of rights. To support the investigation, the Social Studies of Childhood and Cyberculture will be used as theoretical frameworks. To achieve the objectives, semi-structured interviews were carried out, and in parallel, an analysis based on a digital ethnography of the children's profiles, checking the types of posts, what they produce, how they communicate and interact on the digital space. As a result, four articles were produced: the first, which deals with the action of children to combat the climate crisis, the second and thrid article seeks to present the production of content by children on the web on how to prevent and help fight COVID-19 and the lastly, an article on the protagonism of Brazilian children who are digital influencers and activists as political actors. From the above, it was possible to understand the importance of conducting an investigation that values the voice of children and promotes the visibility of their activism, understanding their experiences from their own speeches, as well as recognizing the action of children in the contribution of promotion and defense of rights, in addition to identifying and proposing effective protection strategies for ethical, safe and responsible access in any digital space.
