Desconstrução dos elementos míticos em Lolita de Nabokov. Teoria sobre o Imaginário de Gilbert Durand

Abstract

O presente artigo identifica os elementos mitológicos dapersonagem principal do romance Lolita, escrito por Vladimir Nabokov,em 1955.As três figuras míticas: Lilith dos apócrifos bíblicos, a ninfa grega e o arquétipo literário dafemme fatalecompõemo material metafórico na construção da imagem literária de Lolita. Dentrodocontexto,édelineadaa posiçãodomito na literatura com base nas teorias de Claude Lévi-Strauss (a teoria damitologia), Roland Barthes(o mito na sociedade contemporânea), terminando com Gilbert Durand (teoria sobre o imaginário / antropologia).A metodologia principal utilizada na pesquisa éo estudo descritivoe o cruzamento analítico.Aplicando os critérios teóricos do estudo de Gilbert Durand, pai da mitanálise e mitocrítica, seráanalisadaa contaminação dosmitos na formação da imagem de Lolita perante o leitor.A função mitológica facilitará as interpretações encobertas e preocupações íntimas autorais que residem nas camadasmais fundas da personagem.

This article identifies the mythological elements of the main character of Vladimir Nabokov’s 1955 novel Lolita. The three mythical figures – Lilith from the biblical apocrypha, the Greek nymph and the literary archetype of femme fatale – provide the metaphorical material for the construction of Lolita’s literary image. In this context, the position of myth in literature is outlined through the theories of Claude Lévi-Strauss (theory of mythology), Roland Barthes (myth in contemporary society), finalizing with Gilbert Durand (theory of the imaginary/anthropology). The main methodology used in this paper is the descriptive and analytical research. Using the theoretical criteria of the study by Gilbert Durand, father of mythanalysis and mythcriticism, this paper analyses the contamination of myths in the formation of Lolita’s image in the reader’s mind. The mythological function facilitates covert interpretations and author’s intimate concerns in the deepest layers of the character.
