observação, registo fotográfico e vídeo e a entrevista.
This report was developed in the context of the Supervised Teaching Practice curricular unit, integrated in the curriculum of the Master's Degree in Preschool Education, of the Institute of education, University of Minho. The music in the kindergarten and preschool as part of Intergenerational Approach is the title of the educational intervention project, which was created and developed after an observation of the interests of the children of both pedagogical spaces, preschool and day care center, where the interest in music was perceived. With the implementation of this project I intended to develop relationships with the elderly of the institution (Social Centre of Caldas das Taipas), using music as an element of approximation, where it was envisioned the sharing of experiences and knowledge between the two generational groups. Evaluating the role of music in intergenerational relations, approximating children and the elderly through music by detecting common points of interest, promoting intergenerational coexistence and integration among children and the elderly, encouraging sharing between intergenerational groups and sensitizing children to the music were the objectives to reach groups with this project. Concerning the research methodology, the work based on the approach Action- Research, to the extent that I, as an investigator, was actively involved in the investigation. The data collection instruments used during the investigation project were: observation, photographic and video recordings and interview. As far as the results obtained, it was possible to approach children and the elderly; both groups got to learn a little more about their culture. It was also confirmed the existence of common points of interests provided through music, such as the enjoyment of listening to music, singing and dancing, as well as the sharing of moments of fun. During the project, both intergenerational groups were enthusiastic, motivated and participative, involved in different activities, showing interest in the job offer. Thus, the music made possible the awakening of new relationships imbued with emotions, feelings and affection promoting socialization between the groups. |
