comprar novos equipamentos, nomeadamente, leggings e sutiã desportivo.
The women's sportswear industry is designed to respond to the needs of different anthropometric characteristics, in terms of size and shape, however when it comes to plus size, the difficulties are greater. Plus-size women have hard time in finding active clothing that fits their bodies in terms of aesthetics and ergonomics. Sportswear designed to lose or gain weight/volume does not allow monitoring of the wearer's physical changes, making the product unsuitable for that control. In a few weeks, a plus size woman who goes to the gym to lose weight will need to buy new equipment, namely leggings and a sports bra. The same happens to a thin woman, below her Body Mass Index (BMI), who wants to gain weight. This study proposes the development of innovative clothing, which allows the adjustment of the pieces during their use, offering women the possibility of visualizing their evolution process over time, providing greater dynamism in the practice of physical exercise, and simultaneously achieving benefits in terms of aesthetics, functionality, and physical fit. The sportswear collection includes leggings, biker shorts, sports tops, shorts, and T-shirts, incorporating a mechanism to reduce and increase the main measurement’s allowing them to be adapted to distinct types of bodies. |
