dc.description.abstractLaminates of carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP), layer of steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC) and the simultaneous use of CFRP laminates and SFRC overlayer were the strengthening strategies analysed for increasing the load bearing capacity of a concrete slab. A numerical model developed for simulating these strengthening techniques is described and the results obtained are analysed.por
