Sobre algumas incoerências da norma gramatical: análise de propostas de gramáticas escolares portuguesas

Abstract

It is discussed, in this article, the coherency of the grammatical norm, from the analysis of the scholar grammars’ descriptions and by the evaluation of how grammarians discuss grammar subjects like linguistic evolution, phonetic phenomena, language styles, stylistic resources. The guiding principle of the grammatical texts’ content analysis will attend on the fact of grammatical discourses, sustaining that the deviations of the literary language are stile, judging as error the popular usages, even when its functioning mechanisms are identical. Thus, it will be criticised the incoherency of this norm and what some linguists even consider a way of “linguistic prejudice”.
