A história literária no século XXI

Abstract

As novas histórias literárias, de matriz comparatista, têm uma perspectiva transnacional e uma concepção ampla de literatura (cultura literária), mas arriscam-se a perder a matriz da história literária (uma concepção linear da história e a própria ideia de literatura).

In the XXI century, literary history follows two main trends: one the one hand, we have the comparative approach, using spatial models; on the other hand, we can observe the attempt to elaborate the history of the “world literature” (or global literature). In both cases, however, we lost “history” and “literature” (in the usual sense).
