Gestão da cadeia de abastecimento numa empresa de produção de vestuário

Abstract

Este trabalho é o resultado de uma dissertação de mestrado no âmbito do 2º semestre do 5º ano do Mestrado Integrado em Engenharia e Gestão Industrial da Universidade do Minho e foi desenvolvido na empresa Valérius – Têxteis, S.A. O principal objetivo do projeto é aumentar a eficiência da coordenação dos fluxos de materiais e informação que passam ao longo da cadeia de abastecimento. Assim, após a sua análise, decidiu-se atuar sobre os processos do Sistema de Gestão de Armazém de Matérias- Primas da empresa, devido aos inúmeros inconvenientes causados no processo produtivo. Para o cumprimento do objetivo, inicialmente, foi necessário rever alguns conteúdos bibliográficos sobre a temática, como por exemplo os paradigmas lean, agile e leagile, bem como algumas práticas de relacionamento colaborativo (VMI e CPFR). A metodologia de investigação utilizada neste trabalho foi a Action-Research, ou seja, realizou-se uma descrição e análise do atual estado da organização detetando-se os problemas que teriam que ser resolvidos. Após a deteção destes problemas, planearam-se as revisões necessárias e implementaram-se essas revisões, cumprindo os princípios lean. Os resultados obtidos foram a diminuição do tempo de resposta do armazém e consequente diminuição do stock excedentário. Diminuiu-se ainda o tempo de processamento do controlo de qualidade da matéria-prima e tornou-se o abastecimento do posto do corte mais eficiente.

This project is the result of a master’s dissertation within the 2nd semester of the 5th year of the Integrated Master Course on Industrial Management Engineering of University of Minho, and was developed at the company Valérius – Têxteis, S.A. The main objective of this project was to increase the efficiency of the supply chain management in the organization. It required a better coordination of the materials and information flows. The review procedures performed were related to the lack of efficiency of the Raw Materials Warehouse Management System, wich needed to be increased, since it caused many drawbacks in the production process. To fulfill this objective it was necessary initially to revise some bibliographic content on the subject, such as the paradigms lean, agile and leagile as well as some collaboration practices (VMI and CPFR). The research methodology used in this study was the Action-Research. The first step was to analyze and describe the current conditions of the company and to detect the problems that would have to be solved. After that it was necessary to plan and implement some of the procedures, according to the lean thinking principles. The achieved results were the reduction in the response time of the storage and subsequent reduction of surplus stock. It was also decreased the processing time of the raw material quality control and the cutting station supply became more efficient.
