Melhoria de uma secção de pintura de peças plásticas para a indústria automóvel

Abstract

A presente dissertação expõe o trabalho desenvolvido na Delphi Automotive Systems-Portugal S.A., em Braga, tendo como objetivo central a melhoria da secção de pintura, sendo necessária a aplicação de diversos princípios de forma a promover a sua maximização e a redução dos desperdícios aí existentes. Numa fase inicial, foi realizada uma revisão de literatura sobre a filosofia Lean Manufacturing e algumas práticas de análise e identificação de desperdícios e ainda de redução dos mesmos. De seguida, foi caraterizado todo o departamento dos plásticos, com ênfase na secção de pintura, onde foi aplicada a metodologia WID de identificação de desperdícios. A aplicação desta metodologia permitiu a identificação de áreas de intervenção na secção de pintura, tendo toda esta secção sido analisada, assim como as suas diversas operações. Depois de identificadas as áreas com necessidades de intervenção, foram desenvolvidas propostas de melhoria para aspetos identificados no WID. Levadas a cabo as melhorias na secção de pintura, foi efetuado um novo WID, onde é visível o estado da secção, com a resolução de alguns problemas e o surgimento de outros.

The present dissertation demonstrates the work developed at Delphi Automotive Systems – Portugal S.A., in Braga, having as central aim the improvement of the painting section. The application of several principles became necessary to promote the maximization and the reduction of the waste which exists at the painting section. At an early stage a bibliographic review of the Lean Manufacturing philosophy and some practices of analysis and identification of waste and also of its reduction was made, after which follows a characterization of the entire plastics department, focusing on the painting section, where the WID methodology of waste identification was applied. The application of this methodology allowed the identification of areas of intervention in the painting section. The painting section was analysed as well as its various operations. Once the areas where some intervention was necessary have been identified, proposals to improve the aspects identified in the WID were submitted. After the improvements at the painting section have been implemented, a new WID was made, where we can see the “new” situation of the section, some problems having been solved and some others having appeared.
