Marcas do passado, permanência da atualidade: apropriação do território de Ponte de Lima segundo a análise das Quintas Senhoriais e Mosteiros

Abstract

O presente trabalho consiste num ensaio em torno do tema da apropriação inserido no território de Ponte de Lima, tendo como base a fixação dos Mosteiros e Quintas Senhoriais. Desta forma foi realizado um exercício prático que teve como apoio a bibliografia local associada à análise “in loco” do território. O desenvolvimento da investigação assentou na escolha de quatro verbos para organizar o trabalho, sendo eles: “apresentar e localizar”, “descodificar” e por último “sintetizar”. No capítulo “apresentar e localizar”, são expostas as premissas gerais do tema e a antiga divisão do território de Ponte de Lima, seguindo-se a localização geográfica das Quintas e dos Mosteiros. Esta análise redefine como local de investigação o Vale do Lima, captando para ele toda a investigação e relacionando os Mosteiros e Quintas com a morfologia do solo. Em seguida, o “descodificar”, que resulta da tentativa de recolher as marcas do passado, intituladas como “permanências”, resultante de deslocações in situ e suportada pela bibliografia. Estas permanências, foram divididas em três conjuntos: as permanências de limites, as de uso e as de transposição. Neste processo são levantados temas como: os limites das propriedades, os portais e o uso sobre o território, entre eles o cultivo e o abastecimento hídrico. Por fim o capítulo do “sintetizar”, que inicia com as permanências de uso, sintetizando a ocupação e o uso sobre o Vale do Lima, termina com uma análise geral do vale através das marcas encontradas em confronto com a atual densidade urbana.

The present work is an essay on the theme of appropriation inserted in the territory of Ponte de Lima, based on the establishment of monasteries and manors. Thus we conducted a practical exercise that took place in support of literature associated with analysis "in situ" of the territory. The development of research was based on the choice of four verbs to organize the work, namely: "to present and locate", "decode" and lastly "synthesize". In the chapter "present and locate", are exposed the general premises of the topic and the former division of the Ponte de Lima, followed by the geographical location of Farms and of the Monasteries. This analysis redefines how research site the Lima valley, capturing it for all research and relating the Monasteries and Thursdays with soil morphology. Then, the "decode" which results from trying to collect the past marks, titled as "stays" resulting traveling in situ and supported by literature. These stays were divided into three sets: the permanence of boundaries, and the use of transposition. These processes are raised topics such as property boundaries, portals and the use of the territory, including cultivation and water supply. Finally the chapter "synthesize", which starts with the status of use, summarizing the occupation and use of the Lima valley, ends with an overview of the valley through the brands found in the current confrontation with urban density.
