This document is part of an investigative report focused on the issue – the contribution of previous knowledge to the knowledge construction - integrating a work of scientific rigor, deepened and developed in the course of pedagogical intervention in the scope of Supervised Teaching in Pre-school Education and Teaching Practice of the First Cycle of Basic Education, with a 3rd year class. The pedagogical intervention in this investigation was written in the light of actionresearch methodology and conducted through the Integrated Curricular Project. This research methodology, justified the ICP, favouring the curricular integration, enabling the development of proper skills, and the promotion of sharing, which made the construction of adequate, meaningful, motivating and challenging knowledge, as a way to ensure a professional preparation, able to respond to current requirements of education, such as inclusion, meaningful learning and respect for interests and learning rhythms of children. This research has a reflective component about the importance of prior knowledge in the teaching and learning process. The impact that they have on knowledge construction, are essential for the child to be able to think, reflect, decide, argue, solve problems, suggest and evaluate, thus becoming more autonomous and competent. There will also be presented a set of strategies, which aimed to detect the previous knowledge that the children had about the various contents, so it would allow me to organize and plan my intervention with coherence and complexifying it gradually according to each child’s predesigned knowledge and needs. Her daily life knowledge and the knowledge about her context, not neglecting the activities adaptation and adequation to themselves and to their experiences, she reveals a higher interest, motivation, curiosity, reflexion, autonomy and responsibility. Reflected that the previous knowledge that children had managed to demonstrate that the previous knowledge that children possessed were instrumental in the construction of new learning. To give the opportunity for the child to express about their previous knowledge, and adaptability and suitability of the same activities and their experiences, it was possible to verify a greater interest of the child for its content, a greater curiosity, reflection, autonomy and responsibility. Thus, through the use of knowledge of everyday life and the environment in which the child is inserted, we obtain a starting point for the construction of a meaningful learning and motivating. |
