O contributo do Projeto Curricular Integrado no desenvolvimento das competências de pesquisa

Abstract

Este trabalho relata o percurso investigativo ao longo da intervenção pedagógica concretizado com uma turma do 4.º ano de escolaridade do 1.º ciclo do ensino básico. Ao longo deste relatório, procuro discutir e analisar conceitos e questões pertinentes relativamente às potencialidades do Projeto Curricular Integrado, como sendo um facilitador no desenvolvimento das competências de pesquisa, recorrendo a diferentes recursos, nomeadamente, pesquisa em livros, internet e por meio de entrevistas. Este projeto de intervenção pedagógica foi desenvolvido seguindo a metodologia de investigação-ação, tendo por isso, constantes momentos de investigação que integraram também uma permanente reflexão das práticas. Assim, foi possível alcançar os objetivos estabelecidos e melhorar as práticas implícitas no processo de ensino e aprendizagem, bem como analisar e avaliar as aprendizagens construídas pelas crianças relativas à questão em estudo, consentindo o desenvolvimento das suas competências ao nível do processo de pesquisa. Partindo do desenvolvimento do Projeto Curricular Integrado intitulado “Como foi criado o país de Portugal?” foram proporcionados vários momentos de pesquisa, durante os quais emergiram os passos essenciais a efetuar no processo de pesquisas e que permitiram que o grupo tomasse consciência destas etapas, (re)organizando o seu pensamento e construção do novos conhecimentos. Ao longo da investigação/intervenção foram utilizados diferentes instrumentos de recolha de dados, como a observação, a reflexão sistemática e a análise dos trabalhos das crianças, para que fosse possível adequar as propostas às caraterísticas e interesses do grupo e assim estimular o seu desenvolvimento. O Projeto Curricular Integrado demonstrou ser, ao longo deste projeto de investigaçãoação, um meio facilitador na promoção e estimulação das competências de pesquisa, ao proporcionar o desenvolvimento de trabalhos investigativos. Este estudo evidencia também que as crianças desenvolveram competências de pesquisa ao (re)construírem e coconstruírem os seus próprios conhecimentos sobre as diversas temáticas, a partir do próprio trabalho de investigação, tornando-se cada vez mais autónomas e criativas.

This study reports the research path along the educational intervention implemented with a 4th grade class. Throughout this study, I discuss and analyze relevant concepts and issues concerning the potential of the Integrated Curriculum Project, as a facilitator in the development of research skills, using different resources including research in books, internet and through interviews. This pedagogical intervention project was developed following the methodology of action inquiry, and thus, constant investigation moments that have also integrated a permanent reflection of the practice. This way, it was possible to achieve the established goals and improve the implicit practices in the teaching and learning process as well as analyze and evaluate the learning by children regarding the present study issue, consenting the development of their skills at the research process level. Based on the development of the Integrated Curriculum Project entitled "How Portugal was created?" several moments of research were provided, during which the essential steps emerged in order to make the research process and that allowed the group to become aware of these steps, (re)organising their thinking and constructing new knowledge. Throughout the research / intervention, different instruments for data collection were used such as observation, systematic reflection and analysis of the work of children, to make it possible to adapt the proposals to the characteristics and interests of the group and thus foster its development. The Integrated Curriculum Project proved to be - throughout this action research project - a facilitator in promoting and stimulating of research skills, directly providing the development of investigative work. This study also shows that children develop research skills to co-build and rebuild their own knowledge on various topics, from their own research work, becoming increasingly autonomous and creative.
