Estereótipos, papéis e atitudes de género em crianças de idade pré-escolar

Abstract

Este trabalho pretende analisar os estereótipos, papéis e atitudes de género em crianças de idade pré-escolar, mais especificamente 5 e 6 anos de idade. Este projeto é visto à luz da literatura sugerindo várias perspetivas teóricas, de forma, a perceberem-se os vários pontos de partida da análise do género enquanto um conceito biológico, psicossocial e emocional. Através de um conjunto de atividades analisam-se as reações, comportamentos e escolhas das crianças relativamente à sua identidade e estereótipos de género e as suas atitudes face às famílias homoparentais. É, ainda, feita uma discussão acerca do conceito de estereótipo, isto é, se este se aplica em idade pré-escolar, se é uma ação consciente e voluntária por parte de crianças de idade préescolar.

This paper aims to examine the stereotypes, gender roles and attitudes in children of preschool age, more specifically 5 and 6 years old. This project is seen in the light of literature suggesting various theoretical perspectives in order to realize to the various starting points of gender analysis as a biological, psychosocial and emotional concept. Through a set of activities analyze the reactions, behaviors and choices of children regarding their identity and gender stereotypes and their attitudes towards gay families. It also made a discussion about the concept of stereotype, that is, if it applies for preschool age, whether it is a conscious and voluntary action on the part of children of preschool age.
