Sobre o impacto ‘revolucionário’ da poesia na política: esboço de uma perspetiva

Abstract

Neste artigo, exponho algumas considerações sobre um topos que provém da área da filosofia da linguagem e que perpassa a filosofia de muitos grandes autores do século XX: o poder revolucionário da linguagem e, mais especificamente, da poesia e filosofia. Nestes autores, a noção de poder revolucionário é contraposto à noção de poder sistémico, sendo a última geralmente relacionada com o poder da língua enquanto sistema, ou seja a langue. Numa apresentação esquemática e panorâmica, pretende-se mostrar que as teorias dos autores referenciados permitem uma transposição da dialética entre poder sistémico e poder revolucionário individual, da esfera mais restritamente linguístico-poética para a esfera do pensamento político.

In this article I shall present some considerations about a topic that stems from the field of philosophy of language and that permeates the philosophy of many great authors of the twentieth century: the revolutionary power of language and, more specifically, of poetry and philosophy. In these authors, the notion of revolutionary power is opposed to the notion of systemic power, the latter being generally related to the power of language as a system (langue). I aim to show that the transposition of the dialectic relationship between systemic power and individual revolutionary power, from the realms of poetry and language to the realm of political thought, is not only possible within the framework of the discussed theories, but also a productive approach.
