Sinistralidade laboral e certificação em gestão da segurança e saúde no trabalho (GSST)

Abstract

A pertinência e importância do estudo a desenvolver advém da necessidade de estudar a variação da sinistralidade laboral com a certificação em GSST. Assim, será possível conhecer efetivamente qual a relação entre a sinistralidade laboral nas empresas que contrataram uma entidade externa responsável para assegurar que o Sistema de GSST é implementado, praticado e que cumpre todos os requisitos legais. Finalmente, pretende-se propor melhorias no método de implementação do Sistema de GSST de forma a delegar princípios preventivos e possíveis melhorias também ao nível da sinistralidade laboral. Para concretizar os objetivos deste estudo, fez-se um levantamento bibliográfico de forma a adquirir mais conhecimentos sobre os aspetos relacionados com a Certificação em GSST e os seus efeitos na sinistralidade laboral, tendo em conta a modalidade dos Serviços de SST praticados nas empresas. De seguida, foi realizado um inquérito com questões adaptadas à realidade empresarial em estudo, onde se questionavam trabalhadores de empresas com Serviço Interno de SST e trabalhadores de empresas com Serviços Externos de SST, sendo a amostra composta por 74 trabalhadores. Esses trabalhadores foram questionados sobre vários aspetos relacionados com a SST, desde questões relativas ao seu envolvimento nas questões de segurança da empresa, a sua postura e consciência perante situações mais delicadas em matéria de SST e sobre acidentes de trabalho e doenças profissionais. Esses dados foram analisados qualitativamente e quantitativamente. Os testes estatísticos foram realizados recorrendo ao software SPSS. Para análise dos dados foi feita uma estatística descritiva de forma a fazer uma caracterização da amostra e para os testes estatísticos, Qui-Quadrado (χ²), foi considerado um nível de significância de 5%. Os resultados obtidos foram confrontados com aqueles que foram adquiridos através da revisão bibliográfica. Deste modo, foi possível verificar se há uma interligação entre a modalidade de SST praticada nas empresas e o cumprimento dos requisitos legais de SST, o que poderá intervir diretamente na sinistralidade laboral. Os resultados do estudo apontam para uma relação existente entre a modalidade de SST praticada nas empresas e o cumprimento dos requisitos legais de SST, o que poderá intervir diretamente na sinistralidade laboral. Após a análise das variáveis estudadas, são propostas soluções e recomendações, visando a melhoria da certificação em SST.

The pertinence and importance of the study to be developed comes from the need to study the variation of the labor accidents with the GSST certification. In this way, it will be possible to know effectively the relationship between the claims ratio in the companies that hired a responsible external entity to ensure that the OSMS is implemented, practiced and that it complies with all legal requirements. Finally, it is intended to propose improvements in the method of implementation of the OSHG in order to delegate preventive principles and possible improvements also in the level of labor accidents. In order to achieve the objectives of this study, a bibliographic survey was carried out in order to acquire more knowledge about the aspects related to Certification in OSHMS and its effects on the number of employees, taking into account the type of OSH services practiced in companies. Next, a survey was carried out with questions adapted to the business reality under study, where workers from companies with Internal Health Service and workers from companies with External Health Services were questioned, and the sample was composed of 74 workers. These workers were asked about various aspects of OSH, ranging from issues related to their involvement in company safety issues, their attitude and awareness to more sensitive OSH situations, and occupational accidents and occupational diseases. These data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Statistical tests were performed using SPSS software. For the analysis of the data a descriptive statistic was made in order to make a characterization of the sample and for the statistical tests, Chi-Square (χ 2), a level of significance of 5% was considered. The results obtained were compared with those that were acquired through the bibliographic review. In this way, it was possible to verify if there is an interconnection between the OSH modality practiced in the companies and the compliance with the legal requirements of OSH, which may intervene directly in the labor claims. The results of the study point to an existing relationship between the OSH modality practiced in companies and compliance with the legal requirements of OSH, which may intervene directly in the workplace accidents. After analyzing the studied variables, solutions and recommendations are proposed, aiming at the improvement of OSH certification.
