Correspondência de Fernando Pessoa revisitada

Abstract

Esta tese tem por objetivo revisitar a correspondência de Fernando Pessoa, um ponto de passagem obrigatório na exegese que se tem feito à Obra do Poeta, nas últimas oito décadas. Nesse sentido, resgatamos cartas dispersas, privilegiando o testemunho físico e a materialidade das mesmas. Transcrevemos as cartas e os rascunhos preservando a ortografia original e descrevemos os respetivos suportes materiais. Identificamos e assinalamos as diferenças observadas nas várias publicações da correspondência ao longo dos anos. Finalmente, sublinhamos a importância dos rascunhos para uma melhor compreensão do epistolário pessoano.

This thesis aims to revisit the correspondence of Fernando Pessoa, a mandatory point of passage in the exegesis that has been done to the Work of the Poet, in the last eight decades. In this sense, we have rescued scattered letters, emphasizing the physical evidence and materiality thereof. We have transcribed the letters and drafts preserving the original spelling, and have described their material supports. We have also identified and recorded the differences observed within the various publications of the correspondence over the years. Finally, we underline the importance of the drafts for a better understanding of Pessoa’s epistolary.
