A iniciação à abordagem científica através das atividades experimentais na Educação Pré-Escolar

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio visa apresentar o processo centrado na temática iniciação à abordagem científica através das atividades experimentais na Educação Pré-Escolar, que integra o trabalho desenvolvido no decorrer da intervenção pedagógica no âmbito da unidade curricular de Prática de Ensino Supervisionada na Educação de Infância e Ensino Básico II, integrada no plano de estudos do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, implementado com um grupo de crianças em idade Pré-Escolar (n=8). A intervenção pedagógica desta investigação inscreve-se na Metodologia de Trabalho Projeto (MTP) e, consequentemente, em termos de investigação, sustenta-se numa Abordagem Metodológica de Investigação-Ação. A metodologia investigativa, mencionada anteriormente, e as suas características, fundamentou o MTP desenvolvido, na medida em que favoreceu a integração curricular permitindo assim, a construção de mais e melhores aprendizagens, bem como conhecimentos adequados, significativos, motivadores e desafiantes nas crianças, num processo sistemático de investigação, ação, reflexão e colaboração. Por outro lado, a sua implementação contribuiu para a preparação profissional da estudante-estagiária, ao nível da capacidade de resposta às exigências atuais da educação, como é o caso, da aprendizagem significativa, do trabalho articulado / transversalidade das diferentes Áreas de Conteúdo, da valorização / respeito pelos interesses, necessidades e ritmos de aprendizagem das crianças. Esta investigação tem uma componente reflexiva sobre a importância da implementação das atividades experimentais na abordagem do ensino das ciências neste nível educativo, Educação Pré-Escolar, no que diz respeito ao processo de ensino e aprendizagem, dado que o impacto que os mesmos detêm na construção do conhecimento / aprendizagem se reflete como fundamental para que a criança seja capaz de pensar, refletir, argumentar, decidir, sugerir, resolver questões / problemas e avaliar, fazendo assim com que se torne mais autónoma e competente na aquisição das suas próprias aprendizagens. A análise dos resultados obtidos, não menosprezando a adaptação e adequação por parte da estudante-estagiária, das atividades ao grupo de crianças, interesses e necessidades, evidencia que quando a criança é o agente ativo das suas próprias aprendizagens, esta adquire conhecimentos mais significativos, demonstrando-se mais ativa, autónoma, motivada, interessada, curiosa, empenhada, responsável, útil aos olhos do adulto (estudante-estagiária, educadora cooperante, auxiliares e encarregados de educação).

The present internship report aims to present the process centered on the thematic introduction to the scientific approach through experimental activities in Pre-School Education, which integrates the work developed during the course of the pedagogical intervention within the curricular unit of Supervised Teaching Practice in Childhood Education and Basic Education II, integrated in the syllabus of the Master's Degree in Pre-School and Elementary Education, implemented with a group of children of pre-school age (n = 8). The pedagogical intervention of this research is inscribed in the Methodology of Work Project (MTP) and, consequently, in terms of research, is based on a Methodological Approach to Research-Action. The research methodology, mentioned above, and its characteristics, founded the MTP developed, as it favored the curricular integration, thus allowing the construction of more and better learning, as well as adequate, meaningful, motivating and challenging knowledge in the children, in a systematic process of investigation, action, reflection and collaboration. On the other hand, its implementation contributed to the professional preparation of the student-trainee, in terms of the capacity to respond to current educational requirements, such as meaningful learning, articulated work / transversality of the different Content Areas, respect for children's interests, needs and learning rhythms. This research has a reflexive component on the importance of the implementation of the experimental activities in the approach of the teaching of the sciences in this educational level, Preschool Education, with respect to the process of teaching and learning, since the impact that they have in the construction of knowledge / learning is reflected as fundamental for the child to be able to think, reflect, argue, decide, suggest, solve questions / problems and evaluate, thus making him more autonomous and competent in acquiring his own learning. The analysis of the results obtained, not neglecting the adaptation and adequacy of the student-trainee, of the activities to the group of children, interests and needs, shows that when the child is the active agent of his / her own learning, this acquires more significant knowledge, and is more active, autonomous, motivated, interested, curious, committed, responsible, useful in the eyes of the adult (student-trainee, cooperating educator, auxiliaries and parents).
