Desenvolvimento da expressividade musical em alunos de flauta transversal

Abstract

O presente relatório surge no âmbito da prática de ensino supervisionada do Mestrado em Ensino da Música da Universidade do Minho. Foi desenvolvido ao longo do ano letivo de 2016/2017, no Conservatório de Música de Paredes, e teve como principal objetivo investigar, através da observação e de questionários, com que aspetos relacionados com a expressividade musical os alunos mais se preocupam, bem como aprofundar e desenvolver a expressividade musical dos mesmos. A interpretação musical está diretamente ligada à expressividade e por isso, na formação de futuros intérpretes, torna-se essencial desenvolver a expressividade musical desde cedo; no entanto, a grande preocupação da maioria dos alunos prende-se com questões técnicas de digitação, prestando menos atenção a aspetos relacionados com som, articulação, dinâmicas e cinética musical. Numa vertente teórica procurou-se explorar ideias explicativas de expressividade musical, relacionando-as com as especificidades da flauta transversal. Em seguida, procedeuse à intervenção prática com aplicação de estudos e exercícios propostos pelos pedagogos Marcel Moyse e Peter-Lukas Graf. O fator tempo e a falta de uma prática de estudo regular por parte de alguns alunos foram determinantes para o desenvolvimento de resultados satisfatórios. Mesmo assim, foi percetível a evolução dos alunos participantes. A insistência nos parâmetros supra referidos revelou-se importante, uma vez que se trata de um assunto de ramificações muito minuciosas, as quais necessitam de tempo para consciencializar e após toda a assimilação proceder-se ao desenvolvimento e exploração.

The following report appears in the context of the supervised teaching practice inserted in the Masters Degree in Music of the University of Minho. It was developed during the academic year of 2016/2017 in the Music Academy of Paredes. On the one hand, the main purpose of my research was to understand how students deal with the matter of expressivity, and the way it concerns them in their musical evolution. On the other hand, developing their expressivity was also one of my goals. Expressivity is a fundamental aspect when we talk about performance. While teaching future musicians, it is essential to work on their expressivity from an early age, even though they usually care more about technical aspects, such as fingering/keying/typing. As a result, they don’t watch out for aspects related to sound, articulation, dynamics and musical kinetic. In order to develop this idea, the participants were interviewed, so the pertinence of this musical execution aspects could be verified. In a theoretical slope, I tried to explore instructive ideas of musical expressivity, connecting them with the specific characteristics of the transverse flute. Right after that, a practical intervention was made, based on a few studies and exercises proposed by the pedagogues Marcel Moyse and Peter-Lukas Graf. The element of time and the lack of regular practical study were extremely defining for the development of satisfying results. Although the evolution of the students was very perceptible. The persistence on the previous parameters was very important, since it approaches a very detailed subject, which needs a certain period of time to consolidate and assimilate. Only after that, comes the development and the exploration of the matter.
