A importância do movimento e gesto corporal na performance musical em alunos de saxofone do Ensino Secundário

Abstract

Este relatório de estágio incide na temática da importância que o movimento e o gesto corporal representam na performance musical de alunos de saxofone do Ensino Secundário. Este projeto surge no âmbito do Estágio Profissional do Mestrado em Ensino de Música da Universidade do Minho, realizado no Conservatório de Música Calouste Gulbenkian Braga. A Intervenção Pedagógica realizou-se durante no ano letivo 2017/2018, no Grupo de Recrutamento M18 – Saxofone. O projeto tinha como objetivos centrais promover o desenvolvimento de um movimento e gesto corporal coerente com a música que é realizada, fomentando nos alunos a autonomia necessária para o domínio básico desta temática; desenvolver junto dos alunos pequenos exercícios de reflexão simples para promover o desenvolvimento da criatividade neste contexto; avaliar o impacto desta atividade no contexto e perceber as aprendizagens dos alunos. Através de instrumentos de recolha de dados, como a gravação de trechos musicais, a observação participante e um questionário aos intervenientes, podemos concluir que este projeto contribuiu para uma clarificação sobre a temática e desenvolveu novas aprendizagens nos alunos, concretamente na noção de controlo do corpo e coerência de movimentos com a música.

This internship report focuses on the theme of the importance that gesture and body movement represent in the musical performance of saxophone students on the High School level. This project arises within the scope of the Professional Internship of the Master's Degree in Music Teaching at the Minho University, held at the Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory of Music in Braga. The Pedagogical Intervention took place during the academic year 2017/2018, in the Recruitment Group M18 - Saxophone. The main objectives of the project were to promote the development of a body movement and gesture consistent with the music that is performed, fostering in students the autonomy necessary for the basic mastery of this theme; to develop with the student’s small simple reflection exercises to promote the development of creativity in this context; evaluate the impact of this activity in the context and perceive their learning. Through data collection instruments such as the recording of musical excerpts, participant observation and a questionnaire to the participants, we can conclude that this project contributed to a clarification on the theme and developed new learning in the students, concretely in the notion of body control and coherence of movements with music.
