Campo intersticial: narrativas sócio-espaciais da (des)conexão em Ponte de Lima

Abstract

O presente trabalho aborda a estrutura urbana de Ponte de Lima, a partir das ações e apropriações das crianças nos espaços da vila. Pretende-se perceber de que forma se desenvolvem as relações espaciais e temporais, utilizando o ato de brincar infantil enquanto metodologia de conexão entre os lugares vivenciados. Através das narrativas sócio-espaciais investigadas pretende-se representar e comparar a integração da criança na rotina comum da vila e os modos de apropriação do espaço público. A dissertação é estruturada em três capítulos a saber: Reminiscências da infância apresenta a infância do autor enquanto metodologia de exploração do território, demonstrando a autonomia e capacidade de ligação e interação incutida pelo ato de brincar; Perspetivas do presente recolhe as narrativas das crianças, da escola 1, que habitam atualmente a vila e as relações e apropriações que as próprias criam no território; finalmente, Conectar, explicita as diferenças temporais e espaciais da criança na apropriação do espaço público da vila, com o objetivo de estimular a potencialidade de conexão entre lugares e pessoas, ativando as rotinas infantis e estimulando a vivência do território de Ponte de Lima. O método de investigação traçado compara as narrativas espaciais do autor e seus amigos com as crianças que habitam atualmente na vila de Ponte de Lima, permitindo assim identificar a transformação sócio-espacial da vila, tendo como agente central a criança. Desta forma, pretende-se ressaltar a relevância do papel da criança na sociedade, e no questionamento do espaço público e respetivas dinâmicas.

The present dissertation addresses the urban structure of Ponte de Lima, based on the actions and appropriations of children in the town spaces. It is intended to understand how the spatial and temporal relations develop, using the act of child's play as a methodology of connection between the lived places. Through the investigated socio-spatial narratives it's intended to represent and compare the integration of the child in the common routine of the village and the ways of appropriation of the public space. The dissertation is structured in three chapters: Reminiscências da infância presents the author's childhood as a methodology of exploration of the territory, demonstrating the autonomy and capacity of connection and interaction instilled by the act of playing; Perspetivas do presente collects the narratives of children from school 1, who currently inhabit the town and the relationships and appropriations they create in the territory; Finally, Conectar explains the child's temporal and spatial differences in the appropriation of the village's public space, with the aim of stimulating the potential for connection between places and people, activating children's routines and stimulating the experience of Ponte de Lima territory. The research method traced compares the spatial narratives of the author and his friends with the children currently living in the town of Ponte de Lima, thus allowing to identify the socio-spatial transformation of the town, having as its central agent the child. Thus, it is intended to emphasize the relevance of the role of children in society, and in questioning the public space and its dynamics.
