Modelação e desmaterialização: assimilação de modelos formais e espaciais

Abstract

Partindo do confronto entre os modelos italianos (nomeadamente os ensaios nasonianos) e a tradição construtiva portuguesa, visa-se identificar vias e processos generativos do espaço/forma, expressando valores de influxo e absorção selectiva, à luz de temas como a configuração tipológica, a modelação plástica das superfícies murais e a dimensão visual do espaço. Libertando-nos da compartimentação fixada pelos principais estudos do Barroco em Portugal, perseguem-se inquietações intrínsecas ao processo de projecto evidenciando opções na estruturação geométrica e visual do espaço habitado.

Departing from the confrontation among Italian models (namely the Nasonian essays) and the Portuguese constructive tradition, we aim to identify paths and generative procedures of space/form, expressing phenomena of influx and selective absorption, under themes such as the typological configuration, the plastic constructive resolution and the spatial visual dimension. Moving away from the classification established by the main studies of the Portuguese Baroque, we pursue concerns intrinsic to the design process, evidencing options of the geometric and visual structuring of the inhabited space.
