Desenvolvimento da linguagem oral: contributos da literatura para a infância na Educação Pré-Escolar e no 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico

Abstract

O presente relatório apresenta o projeto de investigação e intervenção pedagógica desenvolvido ao longo da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, com dois grupos de alunos, um de Pré-escolar e outro de 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, nomeadamente do 1.º ano de escolaridade, no ano letivo de 2020-2021. O principal objetivo do relatório é perceber de que modo a literatura para a infância pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento da linguagem oral das crianças na Educação Pré-Escolar e no 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Por isso, ao longo dos projetos de intervenção pedagógica foram exploradas várias atividades para desenvolver a linguagem oral das crianças, assim como, ao mesmo tempo, promover a literacia, estimular o gosto pela leitura e criar hábitos de leitor, em ambos os grupos de crianças do jardim de infância e do 1.º Ciclo. O projeto surgiu inicialmente em contexto de Educação Pré-Escolar. Através da observação participante percebeu-se a necessidade das crianças em desenvolver a linguagem oral. Para concretizar o projeto, ao longo das observações, vislumbrou-se o interesse das crianças pelos livros e pela hora do conto. Por isso, em conversa com a educadora da sala e com a educadora cooperante, tomou-se a decisão de trabalhar o desenvolvimento da linguagem oral através da leitura e exploração de narrativas de interesse para as crianças. No contexto de 1.º Ciclo, entendeu-se que seria possível utilizar a mesma temática, já que, de igual modo, através da observação participante, denotou-se alguma carência no desenvolvimento da linguagem oral de algumas crianças. Verificou-se também o gosto das crianças pela escuta e leitura de textos e narrativas. Deste modo, através da leitura e exploração de várias narrativas, foram trabalhados vários conteúdos curriculares necessários para uma aprendizagem ativa e significativa das crianças, no sentido de promover o desenvolvimento da linguagem oral. Por isso, realizaram-se intervenções pedagógicas que tiveram em conta os interesses e as necessidades das crianças, dando-lhes voz e um papel ativo, tanto na planificação das atividades, como também no desenrolar das mesmas, procurando sempre motivar e despertar o gosto e o interesse pela exploração da literatura para a infância, no sentido de desenvolver a linguagem oral. Em síntese, a intervenção pedagógica possibilitou analisar de que modo a literatura para a infância pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento da linguagem oral das crianças e, também, promover a literacia. O projeto contribuiu, de igual modo, para o meu desenvolvimento enquanto futura profissional da ação educativa, através de experiências e aprendizagens enriquecedoras.

This report presents the research project and pedagogical intervention that was developed during the Supervised Teaching Practice, of the Master’s Degree in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, with two groups of students, one in pre-school and the other in the 1st year of Primary school, in the academic year 2020-2021. The main objective of this report is to understand how literature for children can contribute to the development of the oral language of children in Pre-School and Primary School. Therefore, throughout the projects of pedagogical intervention, several activities were developed to expand the children's oral language, promote literacy, encourage reading and also to create reader habits, in both groups of children in Pre-school and Primary School. The project initiated in context of Pre-School. Using participant observation, it was perceived the need to develop the oral language of the children. To develop this project, throughout the observations, it was possible to notice the children's interest in books and in storytelling. Therefore, in conversation with the pre-school teacher, a decision was made to focus the project in the development of the oral language through reading and exploring narratives that were of interest to the children. In Primary School, it was understood that it would be possible to use the same theme, since just like in Pre-school, using participant observation it was possible to notice some deficiency in the development of oral language of some children. Also, it was verified that the children liked listening and reading texts and narratives. Therefore, through the reading and exploration of several narratives, it was possible to promote various curricular contents that are necessary for an active and meaningful learning of the children, with the objective of developing the oral language. Thus, there was carried out several pedagogical interventions to meet the interests and needs of the children, giving them a voice and an active both in the planning of activities, as well as in their development, always trying to motivate them and awaken their interest in childhood literature, with the goal to develop the oral language. In summary, the pedagogical intervention made it possible to analyze and assess how literature for children can contribute to the development of oral language and also promote literacy. The project also contributed to my growth as a future professional in education, through experiences and enriching learning.
