O clube de leitura como estímulo na formação de leitores - estudo de caso

Abstract

Este relatório apresenta a intervenção pedagógica desenvolvida com um grupo de vinte e uma crianças a frequentar o 2.º ciclo do ensino básico, assumindo como intuito central a avaliação dos hábitos de leitura existentes e a aplicação de uma atividade que aumente os mesmos. A articulação da análise dos hábitos de leitura e de uma atividade que os promova e melhore é o principal propulsor deste estudo. Por este motivo, adotou-se uma ação pedagógica centrada na realização de um Clube de Leitura (CL), onde foram abordadas, discutidas e analisadas duas obras distintas. É a partir destas narrativas que se criaram situações interativas e integradoras, antes, durante e após a leitura, onde os leitores tiveram a oportunidade de progressivamente irem construindo competências que lhes permitissem ler o mundo de um modo abrangente, crítico e consciente. A esta prática faz-se ainda associar o currículo, demonstrando se que é possível criar um vínculo entre os conteúdos e conceitos por ele prescritos e práticas inovadoras no âmbito literário. Foram igualmente realizados questionários aos pais, aos alunos e à professora de português para analisar os hábitos de leitura existentes antes dos CL, a que se seguiram novos questionários para a avaliação do impacto dos CL nos hábitos de leitura tanto em casa, como no colégio. Relativamente aos resultados do projeto de intervenção, é de salientar a evolução, significativa, da postura dos alunos ao longo do mesmo relativamente à motivação e predisposição para a leitura. Aquando da implementação das atividades, foi-se sentindo uma progressiva mudança na atitude, muito positiva, dos alunos o que ajudou no sucesso do projeto.

This report presents the pedagogical intervention developed with a group of 20 children from the 2nd cycle of basic education, being the main purpose the evaluation of reading habits and the implementation of an activity that increases them. The articulation of the analysis of reading habits and of an activity that promotes and improves them is the main driving force behind this study. For this reason, a pedagogical action centered on the realization of a Reading Club (Clube de Leitura - CL) was adopted, where two different literary works were approached, discussed and analyzed. It is through these narratives that interactive and integrative situations will be created, before, during and after reading, where readers had the opportunity to progressively build skills that would allow them to read the world in a comprehensive, critical and conscious way. The curriculum is also associated with this practice, demonstrating that it is possible to create a link between the contents and concepts prescribed by it and innovative practices in the literary field. Questionnaires were also conducted to parents, students and the Portuguese teacher in order to analyze the reading habits that existed before the CL, followed by new questionnaires to assess the impact of the CL on the reading habits, both at home and at school. Regarding the results of the intervention project, it is worth noting the significant evolution of the students attitude throughout the project regarding motivation and predisposition to reading. When implementing the activities, a progressive change was felt in the attitude, very positive, of the students, which helped in the project’s success.
