Projeto Liderα: plataforma de liderança feminina em tecnologia

Abstract

A escada de ascensão profissional para as mulheres tem mais degraus. Além das competências técnicas e habilidades comportamentais, sociais e de gestão, elas precisam romper paradigmas construídos há gerações sob a ótica do gênero. A ideia de que homens e mulheres são diferentes na sua forma de pensar, agir e liderar criou um abismo para o acesso das mulheres às áreas chamadas de STEM, sigla em inglês para Ciências, Tecnologia, Engenharia e Matemática. O impacto não está apenas nos setores, mas também no alcance dos altos cargos e salários. Foi pensando no acesso das mulheres portuguesas à liderança em empresas de tecnologia que o projeto Liderα surgiu, no âmbito do Mestrado em Humanidades Digitais. A proposta é colocar uma lupa sobre os conceitos de igualdade e equidade profissionais e desenvolver uma plataforma com uso de recursos interativos capaz de mapear quem são, onde trabalham, em que áreas tecnológicas atuam, que habilidades técnicas e competências sociais e relacionais possuem as mulheres profissionais de hoje. É nosso objetivo contribuir para uma maior visibilidade dessas profissionais e fomentar o acesso de mais mulheres à área de tecnologia através de mentorias positivas entre elas.

The career ladder for women has more rungs. In addition to technical competences and behavioral, social and management skills, they need to break paradigms built for generations from the perspective of gender. The idea that men and women are different in the way they think, act and lead has created a chasm for women's access to areas called STEM, an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The impact is not only in the sectors, but also in the reach of high positions and salaries. It was thinking about the access of Portuguese women to leadership in technology companies that the Liderα project emerged, within the scope of the Master in Digital Humanities. The proposal is to put a magnifying glass on the concepts of equality and professional equity and to develop a platform with the use of interactive resources, capable of mapping who they are, where they work, in which technological areas they work, what technical skills and social and relational competences today´s women professionals have. It is our objective to contribute to a greater visibility of these professionals and to encourage the access of more women to the technology area through positive mentorships among them.
