Influências e reciprocidades culturais e artísticas entre o Minho e Minas gerais: arte sacra, religiosidade popular e interações sociais

Abstract

Este projeto de investigação tem como objetivo analisar as relações, influências e reciprocidades culturais e artísticas entre a região do Minho e o Estado brasileiro de Minas Gerais. Para tanto, serão estudados como principais temas: a formação histórica, a vida cotidiana, as festividades, religiosidade e a arte sacra das respectivas regiões. Pretende-se desenvolver uma perspectiva sociológica dos temas entre as duas sociedades e como tudo isso formou a identidade mineira ao longo dos séculos. Com o projeto, procura-se entender como a cultura portuguesa influenciou e moldou a identidade mineira desde o final do século XVII. Portanto, o objetivo desde trabalho é apresentar um estudo sobre os laços artísticos e culturais entre a região do Minho e Minas Gerais com base sociológica através da forte presença da Igreja católica. Será proposto também demonstrar como a reciprocidade cultural e artística influenciou a vida cotidiana e o modo de ser dos mineiros ao longo dos séculos. A relevância da realização deste trabalho encontra-se no fato de ele abordar uma temática pouco explorada, já que várias pesquisas limitam-se a analisar apenas a questão estética da arte sacra mineira setecentista. O projeto pretende aprofundar a análise da religiosidade introduzida pelos portugueses no dia-a-dia da então capitania de Minas Gerais e no desenvolvimento do barroco em terras brasileiras.

This research project aims to analyze the relations, influences and cultural and artistic reciprocities between the Minho region and the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. To this effect, the following main themes will be studied: the historical formation, daily life, festivities, religiosity and sacred art of the respective regions. The aim is to develop a sociological perspective of the themes between the two societies and how all this has formed the Minas Gerais identity over the centuries. With this project, the goal is to understand how the Portuguese culture influenced and shaped the identity of Minas Gerais since the end of the 17th century. Therefore, the goal of this work is to present a study on the artistic and cultural ties between the Minho region and Minas Gerais on a sociological basis through the strong presence of the Catholic Church. It will also be proposed to demonstrate how the cultural and artistic reciprocity influenced the daily life and way of being of the miners throughout the centuries. The relevance of this work lies in the fact that it approaches a little explored theme, since many researches are limited to analyze only the aesthetic question of the sacred art of Minas Gerais in the eighteenth century. The project intends to deepen the analysis of the religiosity introduced by the Portuguese in the daily life of the then state captaincy of Minas Gerais and in the development of Baroque in Brazilian lands.
