Resumo(s)This paper presents a comparative study of two Indian women poets, one of them, Vimala Devi, from Goan literature in Portuguese, and the other, Eunice de Souza, from the canon of Indian writing in English. I explored self-representation in terms of gender, as well as forms of subjectivity and memory mediatied by the overwhelming power of poetic imagination. Parallel aesthetic trends are equally considered.
