As mulheres Hui'an e o seu papel sociocultural

Abstract

As mulheres Hui’an, um grupo feminino particular que vive no litoral sudeste da China, nomeadamente no condado de Hui’an em Fujian, ficaram conhecidas pela sua origem etnológica misteriosa, costumes matrimoniais particulares, traje colorido e cheio de simbolismo e imagem deslumbrante nas artes. No entanto, ainda são poucos os que as conhecem profundamente. Como uma mulher autóctone de Hui’an, a autora cresceu num ambiente em que nunca faltavam as mulheres Hui’an com trajes especiais. Sabendo a histórias e o sofrimento delas, considera necessário contá-lo à queles que tenham interesse na cultura chinesa. O percurso académico de mestrado em Estudos Interculturais Português/Chinês em Portugal estimulou o desejo de descrever este grupo sociocultural em português, na expetativa de aperfeiçoar a capacidade no âmbito da comunicação interlinguística e, por outro lado, com recurso ao estudo académico, promover conhecimentos mais profundos de todos os aspetos da China, especialmente da vida das mulheres, para a comunidade portuguesa que aprende a língua chinesa e falantes nativos da língua portuguesa interessados na cultura chinesa. Esta dissertação aborda a origem, o papel sociocultural, o traje e a imagem nas suas artes, com o objetivo de apresentar aos leitores portugueses uma imagem misteriosa, mas atraente das mulheres Hui’an.

The Hui’an women, a special group of women living on the southeastern coast of China, namely in Hui’an County of Fujian, are known for their mysterious ethnologic origin, particular wedding customs, colorful and symbolic costume, and lovely image in the arts. However, there are few people that know them deeply. As a native Hui'an woman, I grew up in an environment where there were many Hui’an women wearing special costumes. Knowing their stories and sufferings, I consider it necessary to tell their stories to people with an interest in Chinese culture. The experience of studying for a master’s degree in Intercultural Studies of Portuguese and Chinese in Portugal stimulated my desire to describe this sociocultural group in Portuguese, in the expectation of training my skill in cross-linguistic communication and, on the other hand, promoting all aspects of China, especially the lives of women, to the Portuguese community of Chinese language learners and native Portuguese speakers interested in Chinese culture, through academic research. This dissertation addresses their origin, sociocultural role, costume, and image in the arts, with the aim of presenting Portuguese readers with a mysterious but attractive image of Hui'an women.

生活在中国东南沿海福建惠安县的一群特殊的女性群体——惠安女，凭借着她们 神秘的民族起源，特殊的婚俗，具有象征意义的鲜艳服饰和在艺术层面多姿多彩的身 影，渐渐为大众所熟知。但是，深入了解这一特殊群体的人还为数不多。 笔者作为一名土生土长的惠安女，从小的生活环境中不乏穿着奇异服饰的惠安女， 并且也听说了不少她们的经历和遭遇，因此，笔者认为有必要将惠安女的故事诉说给 更多对中国文化感兴趣的人听。在葡萄牙攻读中葡跨文化研究硕士课程的经历令我产 生了用葡萄牙语描述这个社会文化群体的愿望，一方面可以训练自己跨语言交流的能 力，另一方面，借助学术研究，促进葡萄牙学习汉语的群体以及对中国文化感兴趣的 葡语为母语的人士更加深入地了解中国的方方面面，尤其是中国女性的生活状态。 本篇论文内容包含惠安女的起源探究，社会文化角色，服饰介绍和在艺术上的形 象，向葡萄牙读者呈现神秘多彩的惠女形象。
