Sem brincadeiras não há infância: um olhar no pós-pandemia e em tempos de guerra

Abstract

Esta dissertação tem como propósito investigar e compreender a maneira como as crianças brincam e interagem em espaços abertos (parque infantil), assim como também observar de que forma foram influenciadas pela situação da pandemia e de guerra em que se encontram. Visamos, não somente, observar a maneira pela qual as crianças interagem e a ludicidade presente nesses espaços abertos, mas também perceber as culturas infantis marcantes, suas brincadeiras e comportamentos demonstrados ao longo do tempo observado, assim como caracterizar o papel desempenhado pelos adultos nessas interações. A Sociologia da Infância será a área científica que embasa esta proposta de pesquisa, a partir da imagem da criança enquanto sujeito ativo de direitos. O trabalho empírico sustenta-se no paradigma interpretativo, utilizando o método etnográfico, de modo a observar o fenômeno contemporâneo, do brincar em tempos de pós-pandemia e tempos de guerra, dentro de seu contexto real. À posteriori, todos os dados coletados através da observação e das entrevistas, que foram realizadas com as crianças e seus responsáveis presentes no parque, permitiram caraterizar o tipo de brincadeiras mais frequentes; O papel dos adultos nas brincadeiras, os cruzamentos das tecnologias nas brincadeiras, e finalmente o modo como a pandemia e a situação de guerra impactaram nas brincadeiras no parque.

This dissertation seeks to investigate and comprehend the ways in which children engage in play and social interactions within open spaces, such as playgrounds. Additionally, it aims to examine how these interactions have been influenced by the unique circumstances of the pandemic and war. The study not only focuses on the dynamics of children's interactions and the presence of playfulness in open spaces but also delves into the rich cultures of children, their games, and their behaviors exhibited during the observed period. Furthermore, it aims to characterize the roles played by adults in these interactions. This research proposal is grounded in the field of sociology of childhood, with a focus on the child as an active rights-bearing subject. The empirical work of the research aligns with the interpretative paradigm and employs an ethnographic approach. The researcher observed this contemporary phenomenon within its authentic social and behavioral context. Subsequently, all data gathered through observations and unstructured interviews, conducted with both children and their caregivers in the park, were meticulously analyzed. The collected data undergo content analysis to provide insights into how children engage in play within post-pandemic and wartime settings, bringing knowlege that allowed us to characterize the most common types of play; the role of adults in play; the intersections of technology in play; and finally, how the pandemic and wartime situation have impacted play in the park.
