O papel interdisciplinar da robótica nos contos infantis

Abstract

A Robótica tem tomado um pepel cada vez mais activo no processo educativo sendo já considerada uma ferramenta pedagógica com muita utilidade. O Ensino Básico (EB) tem sido alvo de poucos trabalhos de investigação, sendo ainda reduzidos os estudos da aplicabilidade desta ferramenta pedagógica. Assim, os trabalhos da investigadora têm como objectivo mostrar que os robôs são uma ferramenta pedagógica útil, sobretudo no primeiro ciclo onde se trabalha a interdisciplinaridade a partir de histórias infantis ou mesmo da imaginação das crianças. Este projecto implicou uma construção e a programação de robôs Lego Mindstorms por alunos do 1º e 2º ciclos. O projecto passou pela dramatização com os robôs das histórias populares "Capuchinho Vermelho" e "Os Três Porquinhos", por um desfile de moda e por danças. Cada um dos robôs envolvidos representava uma das personagens da história e tinha que seguir um conjunto de passos que emergiam da própria sequência dos acontecimentos da mesma.

Robotics has taken an increasingly active role in the educational process and is now considered a very useful educational tool. The elementary school levels have been the target of little research, being scarce the studies regarding the applicability of this educational tool. The work of the researcher aims to show that the robots are a useful educational tool at the elementary levels, where the interdisciplinary work uses children’s stories and their imagination. This project involved the construction and programming of Lego Mindstorms robots by students of 1st and 2nd cycles of elementary school. The project involved the dramatization with the robots of the popular tales “Little Red Riding Hood” and “The Three Little Pigs”, and also by a fashion show and dances. Each of the robots involved was one of the characters of the story and had to follow a set of steps that emerged from the sequence of events.
